What better way to start your long summer day than with a protein- and nutrient-packed smoothie? Here is one of my all-time favorite recipes, brimming with healthy fats, protein, antioxidants, and so much flavor!
Blueberry Flaxseed Shake
Servings: 2
Ingredients
4 each ice cubes
½ cup blueberries, fresh
2 teaspoons organic Agave
1 tablespoon flax seed powder
8 ounces cold water
2 scoops BioChem Protein Powder, French Vanilla (or other protein powder)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ banana
1 tablespoon Barlean's Omega-Twin Oil (or other omega oil)
Directions
- Add ice cubes to the blender.
- Combine blueberries, flax seed powder, Omega-Twin oil, agave, water, protein powder, cinnamon, and banana.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds or until smooth.
- Enjoy and get energized!
