Being that I was raised in the inner city of Philadelphia, seeing dreams cut short more often than I would like, I am thrilled to realize that dreams do come true. I willed myself to learn to paint and to push with dignity towards having my work recognized. I've travel this world sharing my work and meeting great people; painting my inspirations and realizing that we as people share one common thread... humanity. What a thrill it would be to go back into those neighborhoods and offer options in the Arts.

In a letter President Obama wrote to me (see the slideshow), he stated that it's all about standing on the shoulders of those who came before us. It gave me an unimaginable thrill that I, a boy who dreamt and prayed of one day becoming a respected painter now can offer a comfort to someone that is the leader of our free world.

Paint I must. If I should live to be a ripe old man, it is my hope and prayer to bring happiness to art lovers all over the world, keeping my eyes and ears open, eating life, and painting with reckless abandon. Each and every one of us has a dream and passion, life is about respecting that, and acting on it. This is the beginning, I must learn how to paint now.
