Recently, Ohio mom Kelley Williams-Bolar went to jail for sending her kids to a high-quality school outside of her home school district. She was only trying to give her children a better life. Kelley is no different from moms right here in Illinois who want the best possible future for their children. Sadly, there is no future for far too many of our children. With soaring high school dropout rates at nearly 50% and high crime, there is no shot at a good paying job or a future.

For decades the Illinois Legislature has failed our children by failing to do the right thing to provide a good education for all of our children. This is why in 2008, the Chicago Urban League filed an education funding lawsuit to help ensure every child in Illinois has access to a quality education no matter their zip code. But Illinois Governor Pat Quinn refuses to allow this case to be heard in court.

Sign the petition to demand that Governor Quinn stop the delay tactics that prevent this education funding lawsuit from moving forward and being heard. Our children deserve their day in court to fight for their futures.
