I love using remixes in workouts for a couple reasons. First, they take songs that you already love and give them a makeover. This is particularly great for radio hits that have been played to death. Second, most remixes are designed for the dance floor. To that end, you can expect big beats and fast tempos -- the same things you'd want in a workout song anyway.

There are exceptions, of course. In the list below, there's a country track by Jason Aldean that's not any faster than the original. But, it's got a lovely -- and surprising -- guest turn from Ludacris. So, if you're feeling bold, you can check that out. If not, you've got 18 twang-free, club cuts that you can sample in its place.
