Practicing the March on the RNC

The final practice of the "March on the RNC" went off without a hitch Tuesday, July 1, in St. Paul. There were almost as many police on bicycles as marchers. They practiced their job of keeping us in line and it all went smoothly.

Everyone seemed to be against John McCain's idea of staying in Iraq another 100 years.

Please make plans to join us on Monday, September 1 for the real thing -- the real "March on the RNC" -- so we can yell that "out now!" part a little louder.

This is the year of the cage. Move all protesters into cages, where they can be abused, provoked, and the police state can demonstrate their self-fulfilling prophesy that all protesters are "bad news". Am looking forward to seeing all the citizen media videos, and watching what really was said during the marches by all the groups.

Iraq lay in ruins. Unemployment is 50%. 4.5 million have fled because of ethnic cleansing and the "divide and rule," neo-colonial policies aimed at controlling Iraq's oil at any price. Is this the type of foreign policy that George Washington favored? Is this why we fought the British at Concord and Lexington to join up with them in colonial conquests? It is vitally important to express your feelings toward neo-colonialism lead by huge multi-national corporations and their surrogates who pretend to be "patriots." Nothing has changed in morality or thics since 9-11, only the attitudes, values and beliefs of some, based on ignorance of the true facts and fear-mongering, have been manipulated by government propaganda.

Torture is torture, war-mongering is war-mongering, profiteering is profiteering, waste, fraud and abuse is the same thing. If Jesus were to come to Earth or George Washington, and you were to tell these men that "9-11" changed everything, what would be their responses?

Iraq owns the oil and their own destiny, not the United States or multi-national corporations such as Total, BP and Exxonmobil. Certainly not BushCo. This war is a national disgrace and a genocide. using Shia against Sunni - very clever but still a war crime.

You DO know, don't you, that you all will be herded into fenced-in safe "free speech" enclosures?

Maybe so but someday the warmongers could be treated likewise. No, not really, because democracy means free speech for EVERYONE and not attempts to silence nonviolent, lawful dissent.
