... And then taking ostrich eggs back off that map because it is a terrible idea to cook with them.

They DID kick off the wrong one. They kept the one who ruined a regular item she does, and punted the one with some daring, if no follow-thru. Those were "survivor's guilt" tears. Punt her next week.

I knew when they were in that grocery store somebody would choose the wrong item and it was Lauren. When she laid her hands on that Ostrich egg I said to myself she's going home because she doesn't act as though she knows what to do with it. Henceforth I was calling her the Ostrich girl during the rest of the show.

And sure enough Patma had me laughing by the end of the show, it's time to pack up your knives Lauren...cya!

Next to Project Runway, Top Chef has my full attention. I like it!

Nah, the wrong ingredient was canned crab guy. He shoulda popped the top on one right there in the store, then switched.

Lauren was completely ridiculous. Why would you ever cook with an ingredient you weren't familiar with unless forced to do so? She sabotaged herself, then couldn't even explain why it was that they should keep her. Hosea was completely silly. He was so hell bent on making the crab salad that he used canned crab?! That's when you rethink what you're cooking. After all, he should have many recipes in his arsenal -- not just the one. At least I hope not. Ariane is another one that has to go. She cries and makes everyone taste her food. She doesn't get that this is a competition. No one is going to help her win to their own detriment. My prediction is that she's next.

Nah, they keep the drama queens a bit longer. I think crab man is next. (he runs a seafood restaurant and can't come up with a different recipe?
