It is supremely amusing that as drug busts recover larger and larger amounts of drugs, weapons, and cash, these busts are considered "successes." I suppose if ever more drugs and weapons on the streets are a success, then the mission has been accomplished.

Yeah, a real "financial hit". Talk about deluding yourself. This stuff grows in the ground and for all the reports of large busts drugs are in plentiful supply. There will always be someone to fill the supply thanks to the mountains of tax free money to be made. It's not worth patting yourself on the back for this bust.

I wonder how much it cost to make this bust?

Look at most of the comments here ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Legalize it and therefore take the profit out of it for gangs. Its so darn simple its pathetic. The sad fact is the police like the power they get from the war on drugs. The private prisons like the money there making. The people of this country are the losers in so many ways starting with the degradation of the Constitution. Leo can watch what your doing in hopes of busting you, kick in your door on the most flimsy of excuses. 4th amendment what is that ? While our children learn that pissing in a bottle to get a job or drug sniffing dogs in school is normal in a free country. Give me a break!!

I don't like gangs from Mexico or anywhere else dealing like this. Lets legalize and move on.

who saaid no one would enjoy it? it was seized, n ot destroyed.

It's time to legalize it. If alcohol is legal, there's no reason why this shouldn't be legal. It's much less harmful and no one has died from it. Plus, this could boost the economy by a lot.

So what havoc by out-of-control potheads was prevented by devoting resources to this?

To be wasting time and resources on this I must assume that all other crime in Indianapolis has been resolved.

Well, MIKE...people would be enjoying themselves without throwing punches or ramming stuff with cars.
Can't have that stuff stop.
Bad for the economy.

I have been for the legalization of weed my entire thinking life. There is no reason it should not be legal and this is a perfect example of one of the reasons it should be legal.

That said, its not. And this is no small time bust of some teenagers getting high and eating chips. This is a huge bust and if it is tied directly to a mexican cartel than it directly effects the trafficking of coke, heroin, and ongoing violence and weapons trade.

So, while you wont find me arguing against the legalization of pot... you wont find me complaining about the time and energy the police put into this bust either. I think any half whit reasonable person would be happy that a violent criminal operation just received a 5mil hit to their revenue stream.
