Fear, as in; they may want us to pay off the debt we owe them or just ask Iran what O's ruminations mean.

You didn't tell us the cost; for you to think that China is listening to anything you say or do is ludicrous; just ask Iran.

China isn't interested in threatening Australia militarily, and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that they are (Australia is merely a trade partner; it does not even have a "dog" in the Spratley Islands "fight").

China's near-term interests are in repatriating Taiwan, exerting its claims in the South China Sea, and being the biggest military, diplomatic, and economic force in the region. It is already well on the way to being just that.

The United States on the other hand is looking at $500 billion in cuts to the Pentagon's budget, and massive reductions in its blue water navy capability:

The United States is drowning in debt, and relies upon China to cover its budget deficits. The United States is in no position militarily to oppose China in its own front yard, and that equation is going to only become more lopsided over time. Placing a few thousand marines in Australia isn't going to make a particle of difference to the end result.

If you doubt me, ask yourself how many soldiers the U.S. has positioned in Taiwan in the past year? In the past two years? In the past five years?

How about Myanmar?

How about the Spratley Islands?

That's right; none. Why do you think that is?

Obama go home, China is going to set it's own rules. US policy is now challenged so get used to it. Stop your threats and learn to get along.

I don't think that the Chinese leaders believe Obama has the backbone to stand up for our rights.

I suspect that they're right.

US military presence in Australia is long overdue. This presence must be permanent and more than able to respond to any threats to security of Australia. Any objections raised by any country to the military presence of the US in Australia, must be promptly and emphatically denied!

Yes the world is so unfair isn't it! Maybe the USA should give the whole world a big hug and all the baddies will become goodies! GROW UP!
