Careful, my friend...one of the loony right may call "Godwin's Law" on you, no matter how accurate the Nazi comparison may be. I recently watched a documentary on the History Channel called "Third Riech:The Rise". It seems the Nazi party didn't start out all jackboots and genocide. Their platform contained a lot of 'family values and national pride', as well as a heaping helping of blame for Germany's financial plight on those that didn't fit their image. Frightening how something like that spins out of control, all because of the deep, dark shadows lurking in the human condition. More frightening still is how eagerly the citizens of Germany seized on it. Tea, anyone?

Have you heard about the book 'Beast in the Garden" about William Dodd, the US Ambassador to Berlin in the 1930? It gives an accurate account of what was happening to the German Citizens during the rise of Hit_ler and what Mr. Dodd reported back to Roosevelt. It's a fascinating book.

I love the History Channel - especially anything about the Na_Zi Party. Fanned and faved!

Gingrich is certainly "deviant enough from the people."

His comments about OWS demonstrate exactly how tone deaf the Republicans are. The demonstrators are not "starting with the premise that we all owe them everything." And yes, Newt, they did pay for that public park and those restrooms. You're the one starting from a wrong premise. You're assuming they're all unemployed freeloaders instead of hardworking Americans who are tired of getting the shaft from Wall Street speculators who urge people to buy products they know to be worthless. They're tired of having their government be a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries. They're tired of watching the 1% have their incomes skyrocket to unheard of levels while their incomes remain flat.

If you don't understand the premise of the Occupy movement, Newt, then you are not qualified to be president. People aren't looking for handouts. They're looking to get their democracy back.
02:42 PM on 11/21/2011
And as for Newt's comment that the OWS'ers should get a job right after they take a bath........
At least their dirt will wash off; can't say the same for his.

The Tea Party wing of the GOP dislikes Mitt so much that it will support Newt, a morally corrupt, ethically bankrupt candidate. The party of family values and social conservatism will make whatever exceptions are needed just so they don't have Mitt the Flip-Flopping Mormon as their candidate.

Newt will say whatever the day demands. His only loyalties are to power and wealth. Which is what makes him so appealing to Republicans.
Get this inherent evil out of American government!

Willard Romney has an ugly smile and ugly teeth... gross

not to mention his beady black rat eyes and cold, stiff personality.

Perfect to be casted in a movie as a sociopath.
