Reality bites... and doesn't let go

It makes me happy to hear this. There's alot of corporations that need to be put in their place, and this is a good start.

Chick-fil-A doesn't like this dude's t-shirts "Eat More Kale" because C-f-A's slogan is "Eat More Chicken".

I am from Vermont, so I know what kale tastes like. Yech! I've never had Chick-fil-A, but does Chick-fil-A really think that people will be confused and think that Vermont Kale is Chick-fil-A chicken?

That doesn't speak well for their chicken.

Kale tastes disgusting! I tried an organic kale salad with avocado and it was bad. I see kale as the stuff you decorate a salad bar with, which is what I used to do when I worked in food service. Eating it was never a thought to me. I DO support his efforts in protecting his motto/slogan and I am all for Vermont's efforts to control where their food comes from. I wish I could find a decent farmers market around my area.

Try red kale or any of the other varieties. It's sometimes called "Russian red" because that's where the variety was made. Also, leaves that are younger and have been snowed on taste sweeter.

If it's really awful for you, try lightly sautéing it with onions and butter! It's really good, and amazingly nutritious. Toss in some bacon if you eat meat. I don't, but hear it tastes great. Or braise it with onions and some kind of broth (your choice).

Cheers!

I've never heard eating Kale raw, as in a salad. You're supposed to cook it. You can prep it many different ways but I've only seen it cooked like people cook collard greens. Maybe it tasted awful because it was raw.

Kale is a very healthy food. I can understand a fast food company using its power and influence to discourage people from eating healthy food.

Chick-fil-A would like to talk to you about copyright infringement. There are some down south who might be confused. Chicken? Possum?

I don't understand how an organization that only makes chicken sandwiches can prosper while not even making a decent chicken sandwich.

Apparently Chik-Fil-A want to trademark the word 'eat'. Overreaching a bet, methinks.

I admit I am a native Vermonter. Why is it that "Chick-fil-A" is doing this to a Vermont business?
How is "Eat more kale" even similar to "Eat mo chicken" ? There is NO similarity they don't even spell the word more correctly.

Not only that but , I never even heard of the "Chick-fil-A" place .

The same reason that Monster energy drinks sued Rock Art over their Vermonster beer a couple years ago; they don't think the public can tell the difference between energy drinks and beer. I find myself perplexed every day between chicken sandwiches and kale.

They tried NASCAR sponsorship, but discovered that they race on Sunday, and C-f-A couldn't have that. Racing on the Lord's day? No way. Really. True story.

Doesn't surprise me. After all, they close their shops on Sunday. I actually sort of like that they do that. It's nice to see an employer who actually lets all their workers have a day off each week, whatever the reason.

I guess I'm old fashioned. Maybe it's because I actually remember when things closed on Sundays and holidays. The grip of consumerism wasn't quit so tight as it is now.
