Ron Paul's stance is not that pot should be legal, but that ALL drugs should be legal. If he has way--and I honestly think this is where he has not thought it through well enough--we will find drugs being sold in pretty packages with official government approval, and they will be everywhere--they will be the "grownup thing" that will permeate nearly all teenage parties, parents giving them to their kids "because their going to try them anyway; might as be at home", peer pressure will escalate like the 14 year old girl who died when asking someone to inject her with heroin". Parents who do not want their kids to take drugs will no longer have the law on their side, and we will quickly become a nation of jumkies. You do not "try drugs"---you stay away from them, as a society you declare those who sell as an enemy and treat them as such. You go the sources--like the Mexican cartels who are getting close to becoming Mexico's de facto government--and you smash them with all your might until they stop bringing the poison into this nation. Paul is dead wrong on this issue. He is proposing the demise of a sober society.

This has never been and will never be a sober society.

Me and my family and just about everyone with whom I associate do not use tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and caffeine. This is a much soberer society than you might realize. There is certainly no virtue using substances that are harmful to one's health.

Gingrich is basically a motor mouth that just throws out a bunch of Unfounded, Pseudo Intellectual Babble! He dodges and weaves through everything and changes positions like I change underwear!! Then he cloaks the whole thing in more Intellectual Babble! He thrives on the people who have very low information because they get it all from Fox News AKA Republican Television!

He is a typical politician. You cannot believe a thing that comes out of his mouth.

That seems to be a trait shared by almost all modern politicians ....

Stop being so overly sensitive!

Newt Gingrich has more skeletons in his closet than a crypt. He couldn't even bother to follow the rules in order to get on the ballot in his home state. Now he wants them to 'change the rules' for him. His opinion could not be more irrelevent. Go away Newt.

This GOP clown circus is a threat to real clowns everywhere! How can they make a living with all this hilarity so readily available?

Unnnnh the rest of the field needs to keep wearing the latex gloves to avoid coming in contact with any of the feces that Newt has been throwing.

Poor Newt....he couldn't even keep his campaign positive, like he said he would, for 2 whole weeks.

I'm shocked that he would LIE. I really am.

By republican standards: the BILLIONS of profit big corporations are making will stimulate jobs, where are the jobs?
They are all making billions in profit and sitting on it, just to make the democrates look bad around election, all for the sake of a black man, ask Newt!!

This whole republican presidential race has to be reality. No fiction writer could ever come up with this stuff.

Come on people, don't let them pull the wool over our eyes again. If the republicans get elected again the middle-class is history and we will all be working for minimum wage.
THATS WHAT THEY WANT, then they won't have to rely on insider trading!
10:24 AM on 12/28/2011
And so what has Mr. Obama done for poor people working for minimum wage today ???? 0
Assuming they even have a job with todays unemployment numbers.
09:51 PM on 01/04/2012
Mark my words, if another republican gets in office, we will become another third world country.
10:28 AM on 12/28/2011
They have already pulled the wool over your eyes......if Obama gets back in as President the US as we have known it is over......The President and his handlers have done a pretty good job of destroying us already......you better study up on how Muslims live and what they believe because that is what the US will become.

It's about the middleclass stupid!

When I read about these Republican candidates, the more I think of Chernobyl. A bunch of reactive elements in melt down.
09:56 AM on 12/28/2011
The republicans are stonewalling Obama to make him look bad. The republicans control big business and the banks and are still to this day ruining America.
The republican party is as corrupt as any third world country.
It is very obvious they do not care about the American people, just their party and themselves.
