aev, Not true. The fed. said they did, but they gave them 17 billion MORE AT NO INTEREST, without congressional approval, or any judicial process, and there are billions MORE still lost and unaccounted for. Meanwhile, they are claiming PROFITS, foreclosing as fast as they can, and refusing to loan to american citizens. They ARE continuing to INVEST in the markets.

They are paying it back. The big mystery is WHAT is the governement doing with all that payback money? I have emailed and called my representatives and senators asking where is that money going? All I get is ......crickets. Nada. A couple have sent me form letters saying it is being payed back with interest, but do not say where that $$$ is going. We are talking about close to a trillion dollars...even Jon Corzine can't lose that kinda money.....what the?????

No, the question is why are the banks holding on to their profits made with bail out money instead of re-investing it back into the American economy.

WOW that is great.. How much money did those guy donate to help make next payment? Did they have a church Bake sale, Raffle or car wash? These are things we used to do when I was younger to help out the church? In re-reading the story, it looks like they had a spend the night party? How does that raise money to repay the loan?

Oh, I donate plenty to my own church. Our members are responsible and keep up the insurance payments etc. so this does not happen. If I lived in Atlanta and belonged to that church, I would surely donate and work very hard to do what I had to do to save it. What are the members doing to "help themselves?"

All Occupy Atlanta did was buy a little time........unless the church comes up with the payments, the place closes........did the bank ask the church to come in and take out a loan??......No.......If you borrow money......pay it back...............simple............NONE of this is the bank's fault..........

although some cases are people that put in bad loans. most of them are people that use to be a part of a bank that failed . Those that did not get special benefits by government to survive. These got bought up by those banks since they had plenty of money to buy competition and bonuses for themselves. They robed the american people good without paying back and to top it off they changed past loans by charging more interest rate. Anyway another large majority is people lost jobs and could not show to church and give proper donation. Though usually the church is the last hope for people it's not mandatory to give i guess. In defense for the home owner they put trust in the bank not to screw them since they are focused on the people selling them the house to be the ones to worry about. bad electric wiring etc. Then of course people are to blame if they can't afford a loan or did not see a lawyer etc. So in the end the bank is partly at fault especially if you hear it in the news how it is the fault of banks for approving any loan =P just not entirely the banks fault..

I wholly approve of groups such as this from the "Occupy (Whatever)" movement taking positive actions instead of just sitting around... well, occupying. These are things which need to be done and civic-minded folks taking on the banks to get them done. Three cheers for getting off your butts and doing something!

Black people are not animals and gain rights long ago. If you mean the occupy people that are mostly adults that learn not to be animals and are a part of civil society then you are not accurately informed. Police get "donations" from the very same people they are fighting against. Instead of focusing on what you have in mind. why not focus on telling your congressmen to stop wasting money on peaceful protesters and respect the constitution cause maybe some day you want to protest peacefully and don't want to get beat for it.

The "Occupy" movement was a HUGE negative for the cities where they created such a mess, following the lead of the Obama administration creating class warfare in America instead of uniting people. Do I need to list the very negative things that they have done and what they REALLY stand for? Do I need to send you photographs? Do I need to send you first hand information on what actually transpired in the cities where they "Occupied"? There were some very sincere people in the "Occupy" movement who have legitimate complaints...but overall they are being USED and misled. The Obama administration is using the "Occupy" movement in order to deflect attention away for his horrendous record as president and how he is actually destroying America right before us as the people watch in horror. If the "Occupy" people really want to get to the root cause of what is wrong with America...they should "Occupy" the White House and Congress...both parties. Further, a very telling thing about the "Occupy" movement is that it has the financial backing of George Soros and his many front organizations. Soros wants to bring down America in favor of a one world government...he has stated this!

This article is nothing more than propaganda. And....before you start commenting and accusing me of all kinds of Republican and right wind stuff....FYI...I am a Democrat...you know, before it was taken over by far left radicals that are destroying America.

The church is failing to retain membership. Any business that cannot retain a sufficient customer base to meet its obligations fails and closes. This is just a case of the Occupy movement spitting for the sake of spitting.
