I wouldn't worry too much. If the show is even halfway decent, Fox will be sure to cancel it. How are you guys enjoying Dollhouse, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and the soon-to-be-canceled Fringe? If a network moves a show to Friday, aka the graveyard shift, it's going to be axed.

Networks should be required to at least give the viewers some sort of closure if they are going to cancel a show. Instead they do it right on a cliffhanger. I'm still irritated about "V." The worst part is, all of these canceled shows probably have much higher ratings than are reported because many people--me included--record shows to watch them later. Real-time ratings do not reflect the true ratings of a show.

Falling Skies isn't Event-level "OMFG, when will this rubbish stop making my brain bleed?" awful. But, damn, am I the only person who thinks there are too many shows out there that need to bring their A-game up front? Falling Skies is a show that improved a LOT as it went on (I don't want to punch Noah Wylie in the mouth before he delivers another pompously cheesy speech), but it's pretty dangerous in this media-saturated age to presume anyone will still be around when you get your act together.

I agree with Alan Sepinwall's take - this (and 'Person of Interest') sounds an awful lot like the first, insanely frustrating, season of 'Fringe'. YMMV, but it seemed to me like Fox said "hey, we want the next Lost... but please leave out all the complex, heavily serialised storytelling that made Lost so intriguing in the first place". Really, guys, how is that working out for you?

Just the kind of review I would expect from the Huff. No respect for any decent show.
