Investing in science and technology is a bad idea! Look how prosperous nations in sub Saharan Africa are because their governments don't waste tax payer money investing in science and technology!

Look at all the extremely wasteful things investing in science and technology as brought us here in America like jet airplanes, the satellite, cable television, the computer-- microwave ovens for god sake!

Humans need to live like real people again and go back to our huts and our caves where we'll be safe a warm:-)

Gingrich wants to create a place where serial adulterers can live and their lack of morals and ethics is not so frowned upon, a place where people want to be colonized (Kenyan anti-colonial worldview which is a bad worldview) and where historians giving strategic advice are really giving history lessons and are not lobbying; a place where you are kicked out of your job and that is resigning from your it any wonder he wants a colony on the moon.

It's not surprising that someone for whom lies are delivered so effortlessly is full of fantasy. His ability to look us in the eye and lie without a qualm or a quiver is staggering... as he did in SC about the open marriage, telling what he KNEW was a bald faced lie with such venom and vigor, because he knew it would work, which it did... if it's to his advantage, he has NO problem looking us in the eye and deliberately and with calculation lying, lying lying. Fantasy is just a another form of lie for the ultimate liar. Zero character in this man, zero...

As Newt tells his crazy thoughts , he keeps the camera's rolling. He talks about low income people as if they have a sickness. Newt also comes up with these crazy ideas about food stamps and SSA and Medicare. But Newt collects a $100,200.00 retirement check from the Gov. and medical coverage. You never hear anything about that.Is that some thing like a unionized benefit or a Gov. handout that needs to be reformed. There is a few retired Congressman who collect six figures as a Gov handout. These are the same Congressman that talk about reforming SSA and Medicare.

Since the Free Market is the only way to go, perhaps Newt should pitch his plans to the Koch brothers. After all, they can call it an "empowerment zone" and staff those mines with free child labor.

The best comment I've heard so far:

“But above it all we can hear the weeping, the wailing, the gnashing of teeth of the Republican establishment as Gingrich's victory sends them into full-blown panic. I'm not talking about mere fear, nor normal nervousness. Not even the feeling you get when the captain says, "We've lost power in one of our four engines." No, this is worse. Worse even than when your doctor says, "I don't like the looks of that shadow on the X-ray." This is terror. Chest-clutching, breath-sucking, soul-shaking panic. This is your teenage daughter telling you, "I think I'm in trouble." This is a Turkish border guard pulling you into a holding room when you've got a baggie of coke in your pocket. This is what George H.W. Bush famously called "deep doo-doo." Paul Begala

My all time favorite was to send para & quadriplegics into space because being "weightless" would be better for them.

Never mind the fact that weightlessness adds to muscle atrophy, deterioration of the skeleton, fluid redistribution, a slowing of the cardiovascular system, decreased production of red blood cells, balance disorders, and a weakening of the immune system, loss of body mass, nasal congestion, sleep disturbance, excess flatulence, and puffiness of the face.

The guy reminds me of the postman on Cheers, thinks he knows a lot, but is way out of his depth when it comes to reality.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullscat.
"NEWT GINGRICH’S mind is in love with itself.

It has persuaded itself that it is brilliant when it is merely promiscuous. This is not a serious mind. Gingrich is not, to put it mildly, a systematic thinker.

His mind is a jumble, an amateurish mess lacking impulse control. He plays air guitar with ideas, producing air ideas. He ejaculates concepts, notions and theories that are as inconsistent as his behavior.

And, indeed:

He didn’t get whiplash being a serial adulterer while impeaching another serial adulterer, a lobbyist for Freddie Mac while attacking Freddie Mac, a self-professed fiscal conservative with a whopping Tiffany’s credit line, and an anti-Communist Army brat who supported the Vietnam War but dodged it.

Setting aside the snark, I do think that “Gingrich is not, to put it mildly, a systematic thinker” is an incredibly fair assessment."

I like this recent quote;
As Wayne Besen of Truth Wins Out notes, "Newt Gingrich is not that smart – he only looks semi-intelligent because he shares a stage with Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry and Herman Cain. A drunken Bozo the Clown would look like Einstein competing against these bubble-headed wretches."
Obama does care!

Gingrich has seen the film "Total Recall" one too many times and now is really thinking of colonizing Mars and mining the planet. Didn't he realize the bad guys were using oxygen as a way to control and oppress the miners? Gingrich then wants to create a series of mirrors in space to illuminate dark spots so criminals can not hide. Perhaps this suggestion would help us when we are searching for our house keys at night only at a cost of trillions of dollars. Gingrich clearly stands for two things: the right to self-government in space and the right to cheat on his spouse at home.

Newt has this schtick down pat. All he needs is a curtain to hide behind and a huge holographic head to rant through and a fog machine. ;-)

Well, for his first term he's going to have to share the White House with Cain who is apparently already there according to his book.

The only reason Newt is considered an "idea man" is because HE keeps telling us he is.
This is an honor others should bestow upon someone, not one you should proclaim of yourself.
He is largely delusional, as he has no proof to the contrary.
Seriously?? Moon colonies? How 1970's.
Shouldn't we be more forward thinking than that? We have nano particles and LED flat screen, touch screen everything.
Setting up physical outposts will be outdated before they even begin.
