Yes, I think Washington is on the wrong track but that's because of Republican obstruction, NOT because of the President.

"Republican obstruction," hmmmmmm, that just might work if Obama could've at least passed a budget during his first 2 years in office when pelosi and the dumobcrooks had complete power and control in both houses of congress!! But since he couldn't, I'm not stupid enough to buy "Republican obustruction"!!

You mean the 2 years that obstructionist Republicans prevented the majority from doing anything because the Democrats didn't have the 60 votes that are apparently now required to pass anything in the senate? Those 2 years?

There you go they had maybe two months of complete power. Then the blocking game of filibuster for every bill.

What budget did the republican purpose. OH yeah the same thing that got us to this place cut taxes and it trickles down right NOT. We have done that twice under Reagan the great spender and Bush both times failed. Reagan the great spender did it and realized he had to raise them and did so 12 times.

But the myth of him cutting them 30 years later much like the Jesus story was made up 30-40 years after he was gone.

The Catholic universities and hospitals can add the caveat to their insurance policies that the Church teaches against birth control. No Catholic I know is worried about infringment......The Church will not blunder as in 2004 when the Vatican issued a letter [read in churches] that implied Kerry was evil for supporting abortion but the letter mentioned nothing about the unjust war President Bush initiated against Iraq.I believe the Pope was blackmailed by the Bush people using dirt they had on major clerics.Bush people had just visited the Vatican and the Pope's health declined soon after.

Not all people who work for Catholic hospitals are Catholics unless they are planning on discriminating against people because of their faith. Is that the next step?

The deciding factor will be which one is the most out of touch with the struggles of God's children.

If the GOP (greedy old party) wanted the BEST for our Nation, they would be happy about the drop in unemployment and how Wall Street has bounced back.
The only issue the GOP can talk about is anit abortion and anit gay.
NOW, Newt is saying Pres. Obama "has declared war on the catholic church"..
How off the wall is that.
The GOP are making a mockery of God and religion
Some one should declare war on the catholic church and get rid of the the crimes against children.

The Republicans had total control under Bush for 6 years. Where is the nirvana of republican policies? They ran up massive debt with 2 wars not paid for, a massive increase in government with Dept. of Homeland Security, No Child left Behind, perscription drug program all of which were not paid for, and a huge decrease in tax revenue with the massive tax breaks for the rich or as they call them "the job creators". And don't forget George Bush's $700 billion bailout of banks and wallstreet. If the republicans are so fiscally sound why did they destroy the economy and where are all the jobs after 10 years of tax breaks for the wealthy???? Should'nt we have so many job openings that companies are begging for people??? The fantasy world they live in is beyond belief.

People are still very much angry about these incompetent Republican fanatics and neocons.

Cantor keeps Bush/Cheney alive. Romney represents unlimited welfare for the wealthy and outsourcing. Newt is a symbol of Washington lobbyists and corruption.

Clinton left the country with peace and prosperity. Republicans destroyed our economy and tied us to the fortunes of Middle Eastern dictators. Voters will not voluntarily be lead astray again.

Gas prices were higher in most areas of the country in the summer of 2008 than they are now.

Gingrich is being dishonest.

He taking step two on the Republican's who (in a form of dishonesty) point out the gas pricing was less than $2 a gallon when President Obama took office. I call pointing this out dishonest, because they are ignoring that the prices got there from a price crash, a price bubble bursting, which was the result of people cutting down on usage (due to the high price) and the oil companies increasing production ( to cash in on the higher price).

IN NY, the gas price was $1.89 when Obama was elected. You better get the facts straight, in addition. the so called bubble you mentioned was nothing of the kind, it was and should be strictly supply and demand. Yes, people cut down on usage because it was so expense and the media attacked Bush daily calling him the gas president and saying he had his hands in the pocket of the oil companies. Under Obama, the gas price has doubled and not a word is said about Obama making out like a bandit. As for the oil companies cashing in, At least they produce a product we want and need. The next time you need gas, go dig it up youself. Find it, refine it and get a pump to put it in your car. They actually work to get it to us, the govt makes the loin share of oil money anyway by collecting taxes on every drop and doing nothing for it. Thats why Obama wants the price higher because of the tax, the same with the local govts. Get real

That might be the most dishonest post of the day. Obama does not "make out like a bandit" In fact it hurts his popularity. Loin share? Most taxes are fixed, not a percentage, the higher the price of gas, the fewer gallons bought, the less taxes collected. Oil company's are collecting the highest profits of any company in the history of the planet and the government gives them money. It's time to tax them til it hurts.

If the Republicans and Israel quit threatening to bomb Iran the price of oil would be cheap. The oil companies were return supplies back to the fields from refineries just a few months ago before the latest round of saber rattling.

Conservatives are escalating the diplomatic situation and hoping to get us into another war to stop the economic recovery since Boss Limbaugh's edict to stall any development till after the election is beginning to be ignored by their own base.

Businesses are sick of not making money...for three frickin' long years. Even the big banks and corporations are beginning to let go of those trillions of dollars in built up reserves and TARP money. This is a capitalistic country after all. No matter what the monopolies and Republicans hope they can control forever, it's just not going to work.
