I vote for the police who took action in this incident. Would the parents feel better if their children were arrested for murder?

Baltimore is a rough town. Something tells me that this won't be the last time these little angels will be handcuffed.

I find it funny that a lot of you seem to be up in arms and agreeing with the parents of these kids. I bet you all would be whistling a different tune if it were your child that those kids almost drowned or who was brought out to some railroad tracks and had their head forced down onto the tracks. People need to stop making up excuses for children being violent.

Will these children be stripped searched? The Supreme Court has given its permission and made the stripped search option available to every police officer for every suspect regardless of how major or minor the infraction. So, again, are these children going to be stripped searched? Who will protect them?

The Baltimore Sun reports the arrests were an effort on the part of the police to respond to area parents' outrage after the bullying incident -- where one child allegedly almost drowned and another's head was "forced onto a railroad track."

...And the parents are outraged because their kids were arrested???? It doesn't matter how old you are, when you almost drown a kid and then force another kids head onto a RAILROAD TRACK you should be arrested. The parents should be more outraged about their kids behavior prior to being arrested then the arrest itself. What is up with the parents of today? S.M.H...

The police had to give these little nippers full instruction on how bullying is done in the big world.

And we can say thank you to the Strip and Search Supreme Court that now allows anyone anytime any age to be stripped searched for even the most minor infraction. So I have to wonder, have these children been stripped searched as the Supreme Court says the police now have a right to do?

Probably depends on whether their parents are wealthy Republicans, wealthy Democrats, or poor.

“It’s our policy, regardless of the age, when a suspect is arrested by police, they’re handcuffed," Det. Jeremy Silbert told WJZ-TV. "And the reason is just not for the suspect’s safety but also for officers’ safety."

If an officer has to maintain his safety by locking up an 8 year old in a jail cell, then that officer is in the wrong profession.

The parents should sue for traumatizing a minor.

And the police, thanks to the Supreme Court, have the power to strip search these children. Has that occurred yet?

The officer was giving the kids a reality check. When you almost drown a kid or force a kids head onto railroad tracks, what do you expect the outcome would be?What if it were one of your kids whose head was forced onto a railroad track or was almost drowned? Kids who become that violent towards other kids should face the consequences of their actions. The real victims here are the kids that these kids tried to drown and hurt.

Did you folks neglect to read this paragraph: "The Baltimore Sun reports the arrests were an effort on the part of the police to respond to area parents' outrage after the bullying incident -- where one child allegedly almost drowned and another's head was "forced onto a railroad track."

How about some sympathy for the bullying victims?

"I immediately ran to the Juvenile Justice Center, and they would not let me see her or even talk to her," Hammonds said. "I just started crying. My baby's in the back of a cell and she's 9 years old."

Oh, poor Ms. Hammonds, my heart goes out to you in your time of suffering...

After all, what's the big deal about threatening to drown a kid or to put a kid on a railroad track?

After all, it's all about you, Ms. Hammonds, isn't it?

No wonder your kid is a bully.
