I don't think we'll have to worry about the Zogby poll. It looks like the Drudge took Zogby's findings out of context and cherry-picked the data he wanted to show McCain ahead. How disappointed he and his followers will be when they see Zogby's news release for today, Nov. 2, 2008, which states in part:

"Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby Poll: One Day Is Not A Trend: Obama Holds His Lead" [Nov 2, 2008]

"Obama 49.5%, McCain 43.8%

"After a strong day of polling for Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Friday, Democrat Barack Obama experienced a strong single day of polling on Saturday, retaining a 5.7 point advantage that is right at the edge of the margin of error of the Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll. The race has remained remarkably stable down the stretch, this three-day rolling average poll shows.

"Pollster John Zogby: 'Obama has consolidated his lead over McCain. His single day lead today was back to 52%-42%. [...]

'So what happened to give McCain a one-point lead in the one-day polling on Friday? It was a day of consolidation for him, too.

'Remember, as I said yesterday, one day does not make a trend. This is a three-day rolling average and no changes have been tectonic. A special note to blogger friends: calm it down. [...]"

If you're an employer, close up shop tuesday and let your workers go to the polls. Your patrons may thank you with their continued support and word of mouth about your generosity may increase your business. Self-sacrifice is very appealing to consumers.

Sorry...can't close-up....have to start saving for those tax increases on the way. On second thought, thinking about Obama's tax plan, why not just let the workers have off permanently, thats the only way to survive!

Do you make over $200,000, probably not, so what the hell do you have to worry about. How many times Obama has to give his tax plan in writing before you actually believe it. But you have not problem believing McCain, who tax plans will benifit the riich and corporations because you see that is what republicans do best, which is why nutcase pundits that Rush, Hannity, O'Rielly hate Obama so much and kising McCain's ass, because they are millionaires and are afraid their taxes will go up under Obama. Money is all they care about, not you or this country.

Wow, the small business where I work is going to thrive under the Obama tax plan. What a financial sacrifice it has been providing healthcare to every employee. In order to make that happen, the principals in our company do not make anything near $200,000 a year. The Obama tax savings will allow our company to hire more employees and put more money into the pockets of every employee--management and non-management alike. We cannot wait.

Save the American middle class, save the world. Vote Obama '08

maybe if we have a landslide they'll have to figure out how to poll folks with cell phones instead of land lines. In other words, people under 30.
These polls are of likely voters ie. people who voted in 2004. I think it's clear this year that there will be record numbers of new voters and lapsed voters who are impossible to track with current polling practices.
Obama ain't listening to the polls, Mccain ain't listening to the polls. Get out and vote, that's all that matters now.

Under 30?

I personally know of at leat 15 to 20 family, friends and colleagues that no longer have land lines ... we're in our 40s and 50s.
Wake up pollsters ... your methods are archaic and so "yesterday".

Polls mean nothing ... they have been wrong since there were more than 100 people voting. The only accurate poll is voting. A poll has nothing (NOTHING) to do with democracy ... your vote does.

Neither of my two kids or their s/o's have land lines.

a lot of people over 30 have no landlines either.

Hahaha... it was funny to watch Republicans jump all over that one day of Zogby polling and point to it as if it meant something. It reminded me of that freakish AP poll that came out a week ago that had PA looking really close out of nowhere. These polls didn't resemble any other poll out there so you knew that something had to be fishy. Obviously, the glitch has been fixed and Obama is back to spanking McCain again.

It is absolutely going to kill Republicans to see Obama become president -- and that's what is going to make it all the more satisfying!

I was really annoyed to read the latest polling results on the respectable rational intelligent news organisation in Australia, The AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING COMMISSION, using the Zogby poll for their info. Also a survey company, PURE PROFILE is doing an election survey and everytime I went to vote for Obama it showed an error. FIXED!

Three days, I wonder what the GOP have in store for us. I can't think that nasty myself. any suggestions?

I guess it's not such a respectable news organization after all. They're looking out for their money too.... and hope the current crooked camp stays in power.

"79 days until the world is safe."

No more wars or acts of terrorism when Obama takes office. Joe Biden say in six months Obama will be tried. Who ever is the pawns in that “test” of Obama wont consider the “the world safe”

The comment obviously isn't talking about generic evil muslims (TM).

It obviously is referring to the Bush administration.

>No more wars or acts of terrorism when Obama takes office.

You might be right! And maybe Biden is wrong, maybe the world will want to give peace a chance. So let's try to think positive, the dark years of George W Bush are almost over!

I got polled by Republicans once. They asked me questions like "What would you think if you found out that Barack Obama................." I told them I wasn't stupid, and that their tricks wouldn't work on me. I guess that doesn't count as a real poll.
