An album is an excuse to tour which is where they make almost all of their money.

They will make hundreds of millions from their world tour...even if it's another bad album!!

Dear Rolling Stones,

Please dont realease another sad attempt at your old selves to stay relevant; ergo Madonna, but you're all way older still.

Your rock n roll spirit left you all after you acquired your last 10 million dollars; each!

Please don't so many of us out won't feel the need to cringe when you do that rooster bit again on stage. Yes, Mick, talking to you.

Jam all you want boys, but stay away from a new album. You have nothing Rockin' to communicate anymore.

Now Bowie on the other hand...

There's some good stuff on all their recent records, not everything, but quite a bit of it is just good rock and roll. Being rich doesn't mean you can't rock; they've been millionaires since 1964.

Don't hold back now.......I disagree completely. You want to review a nonexistent album of a group that has remained vital and current for more years than almost all bands have existed. If they put out a new album, put out your review after it's released, not before. For all their success and great music, they deserve that at the very least.

That old photo... they look so young and healthy. Time has not been kind to them in the looks department, IMO. Time's been hard on me, too. *sigh*

After watching that "Band?" on snl last week, I'll take the aging Greats like the Stones any day of the week!!!
11:37 AM on 04/10/2012
will always love the Stones, they were at their pinnacle in the '60's (Get Yer Yah Yah's Out! album) from their Madison Square Garden performance in '69, the 70's and 80's "Exile on Main Street", "Love You Live" album, Mick had that quintessential voice no one could ever hope to copy, best song "Love in Vain" with Mick Taylor playing the best blues guitar rip ever.

luv ya Mick but it's time to give it up, your voice cannot belt out the notes and chords it once did, it's painful to watch and hear you try to sing the great compositions of Jagger/Richards songs in one flat monotone voice.

Boring. They're not rock and roll; They're a corporate brand and they've lost relevance back in the 80's. Time to give it up old codgers, your music comes from a nostalgic past that is no longer here.

So don't listen to it. If they were old black blues guys everyone would think it was cool.

Not sure why you feel the need to attack them to make a point about the Stones.

Soooo far above The Beatles as world's greatest rock and roll band, it ain't even funny, Jack! I can listen to Stones' music from decades and decades ago and it's still great, while just about anything The Beatles did makes me yawn ---- though Paul McCartney and Wings (great), Ringo solo (great), and George Harrison solo (great), but John Lennon: over-rated.

Wings Over America was a rockin' album, All things Must Pass by George was great but Lennon's records had the best lyrics and real emotion.

George Harrison solo was better than okay and his days with The Traveling Wilburys were great. Next to Joe Walsh, my favorite musician.

And their last good album was how long ago? Oh well it will give the senior citizens something to do and keeps them off the streets.

I mean what could they write about anymore? Flying on private jets, riding around in limousines and owning giant mansions?

We'll there still is always sex with the help of Viagra and such things.

Their last good album was the last one released...a bigger bang...best stuff since some girls. You can't judge good music by record sales or hits....if we did Justin Bieber would be a rock god and Zeppelin would be a one hit wonder.(they had the sales but didn't care about singles)
11:20 AM on 04/10/2012
If it sounds good and has meaning, I will listen....Keep going Stones.....Getting old does not have to equate with end of ideas and dreams.

The guys don't need a reason to rock and roll, it is what it is. Will look forward to hearing the new stuff. All the young guns wish they were as successful let alone to be able to produce a 50 year legacy of incredible music.
