Man, after reading some of the absolute horror show that is the regular news, this bit of inspirational human kindness and courage was just what I needed before bedtime. Way to go Matt!

Kid - you put alot of us whiners out here to shame. Including me. What an inspiration! If you keep up the race on the track of your life like this, you will have no problem to really worry about, I wish I could jump thru the computer and hug you.

I don't know if you noticed, but he can't extend his legs fully. It's not awkwardness or lack of co-ordination. I've taught a fair number of CP kids and they have to undergo frequent surgeries to stretch their tendons. Between surgeries they get painfull physio to stretch them out. Running that event was a grueling experience for him.

But if you really at his face, HE didn't want to give up, He wanted to continue on, and HE looked liked he loved the experience! Granted the surgeries and therapy can be grueling but goodness just look at this young man. HE just wanted to, it appeared to me he was just fine.

Coach Blaine is obviously an amazing teacher! I wish every school had one teacher who could inspire such determination in a challenged child and such compassion and support in enabled children.

Is it too late for a presidential nomination?

When watching his face its like nothing is even phasing him while he runs. Its almost like a natural and everyday motions that he does. Keep going dude!!
I have a best close friend who has cerebal palsy and when we walk he would rather keep up at my fast walk pace then me slow down to keep up with him. My friend is beyond determined and doesnt allow anything stand in his way. Love you

If more people woudl encourage kids to let them know it's OK to be supportive, they would,. What a wonderful group of kids.. and WTG Matt!

This was the day the Huffington Post had more quality content than network primetime television.
