OK NOW EVERYBODY!! Quit saying "fossil fuels" Petroleum Products did not come from dinasaurs, they did not come from living tissue.

That's a wives tale.

Petroleum products are abiotic. Not from Life. Forget that gas sign with a dinasaur on it.

No fossils. We good?

And this guy is planning to do the lecture circuit and create a think tank after his presidency? That should go well.

As well as his presidency? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Makes me wonder, why not! Even flipping a coin infinite times it should come up 50/50. There must be something he can do right!

"[It's] time for the human race to enter the solar system."

Reminds me of the old feminist joke, "If they can send a man to the moon, why can't they send them all there?" While I can't agree with the statement overall (I'm a guy), I can surely understand the sentiment. Better yet, maybe the Kanamits have some tenderizer for such a hard heart in their recipe book. (They'd need a LOT more for the Cheneys' hearts.)

"You need to remember that Bush is not the only one to blame for the state of our government. Most of those decisions were made by a democratic congress!!!!! Duh!!!"

Duh, yourself !!!!!!!

Since 1994 when Repukelicans took over Congress, they have controlled the House for 12 of the last 14 years and the Senate for 10 of 14. In the Senate, the remaining 4 years were evenly split although the Dems had a nominal majority with the help of independents Jeffords (2001-2003) and Lieberman (1997 - 1999). In this period, the Dems were not able to pass pro-environment bills (or any other kind) due to stymying by the Republican majorities or the threat of presidential veto. In actuality, since 1980 Democratic bills have only had a chance of becoming law for two years (1993 - 1995) when they controlled Congress and the White House.
12:30 PM on 01/18/2009
...and lest you forget, since the GOP lost control of Congress in 2006, they have staged now fewer than 75 filibusters designed to block legislation that would help average Americans.

The GOP: Incompitent when in charge...childish when not!

True, I am a moderate Republicans and I say, if America is wise, it will NEVER elect another Senate and House majority run by Republicans. This last 8 years surely has even taught patriotic Republicans that the party as it now is run is not to be trusted with any more years that would throw our country back to the dark ages as they have done these last several years. Go Obama and the Democratic majority, I say!!!!!

What about the decisions our democratic congress made, I think we need to blame them for most of the decisions made during the Bush era. Is everyone forgetting that congress has a lot of control?!

Democratic control of the house came in 2006. Majority of the Senate in came in 2006 also. However, the dems never had a 60 senate majority. The Repubs own this mess. Please get a grip on reality or at least history.....

Not to worry, in the deep of night. looking into the mirror, any rational Republican MUST admit to themselves that Bush, with the help of his Republican buddies in the federal legislature, mucked this country any way they could. They totally betrayed the Republican ideals and took our country into an unneeded and illegal war wrecking our economy for years to come. Not until Republicans face up to this horror is there any chance for the party to rebound. This is said by a 75 yr. old moderate Republican, so don't go balistic about Democrats.

A lot of control indeed with the GOP-filibusters and the presidential veto hanging over their head.

Wake up to reality; the Democratic Congress only would have stand a chance IF the president had been intelligent enough to look outside his bubble. A bubble filled with the scary ideas and total cr*p of Rove, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rice.
