This is the smartest thing that I have heard for Bush in the last eight years. The GOP won't listen to Bush because they like to be exclusive.

History looks like this
08:51 PM on 01/11/2009
Bush was often aware of the political trends. As Texas governor, he proposed to bring the experts together and create a model anti pollution law. So, they made his model law and made it voluntary. As it defined what immoral people might do and make more money, the companies understood their fiduciary obligation to ignore the law and big Texas cities became the most polluted in the country.

He keeps on keeping on with stuff like that. He cut taxes because the growth of the economy would cause income to increase. Shockingly, the US debt was more than doubled over his administration. No child left behind was modeled on a Texas reform that reformed Ross Perot's work on education. Presumably no more kids dropped out and everybody entering high school went on to graduate: Except, the numbers to graduate remain at about half the number to enter and the missing half are unaccounted for in "private" schools. He doesn't know how to declare victory should be the end of a war. Bin Laden, wanted "dead or alive" remains alive -- so, Bush doesn't care about him anymore.

Bush does a lot of smart stuff. The devil is in the details. The flaw in his worker program is that it amounts to a kind of slavery and undercuts American workers.

President Bush told Brit Hume on "FOX News Sunday" that he refused to "bail out my political party" by withdrawing troops "during the darkest days of Iraq."

"During the darkest days of Iraq, people came to me and said, 'You're creating incredible political difficulties for us,'" the current president said as his term draws to a close. "And I said, 'Oh, really? What do you suggest I do?' And some suggested retreat, pull out of Iraq.

The i d i o t contradicted himself on the same interview. W=Worst

OK this proves conservatives are certified crazy.

The funny thing is most republicans are pissed at Bush so they won't take his advice, even if it's actually good advice for once.
08:02 PM on 01/11/2009
Bush admitted to Brit Hume that he personally authorized torture. Is that being open-minded?

I NEVER heard PALIN/McCAIN use THAT line. I would say it is eight years too late anyway.

Is this a recent picture of him? Does anybody else thinks he looks a little glassy-eyed, a little messed-up on something?

My guess is he'll have to keep himself heavily medicated to avoid feeling the wash of guilt he'll have to live with for all the death and destruction he's caused...or is this giving him too much credit for having a conscience?

9 days to go. Then (hopefully) we won't have to endure any more photos of W on HuffPo.

This is functionally impossible for Republicans. For one's "mind" to be "open," one must first have a MIND! Siunce GOP'ers do not have minds, ergo, they cannot be OPEN!

"Don't be inward looking so you don't drive people away"? Man, it's what we see when we look in them that's driving people away.

Not surprising. Bush always cared more about blind loyalty than competence or ideology.
