Where am I going to go now to 'waste another perfectly good hour' if I can't listen to "Car Talk"? Thank goodness for reruns -- HA!

Well I hate to see my friends go, their spontaneity will be missed I loved to listen to this show on NPR every Saturday morning they are hilarious. I'm sure some young mechanics somewhere are warming up in the wings, to become the next dynamic duo to make us laugh about our beloved jalopies. Sayonara, see you real soon, adios amigos......................in my best "Sponge Bob" imitation........................"I don't want you to goooooooooooo!

Those repackaged old Car Talk segments ought to be good. "My Pinto makes a rattling sound, and then it bursts into flames. Any advice?"

Every Saturday morning, I clean my kitchen and do laundry, all while listening to Click and Clack. The chores will become just chores, sadly.

Good luck, and don't drive like my brother!

If anyone deserves it, it's these two guys. They have entertained me and my family for well over a decade. Hilarious and fun to listen to their show. Loved hearing from these good old Boston boys every week, and they will be sorely missed. Enjoy your time off, guys!

I know a lot of people love the show, but I just never could handle all of the laughing and banter. It would usually drive me to change the station after ten minutes or so. It just reminds me too much of the morning shows on local stations, and I never have been able to handle them.

While driving about town doing errands on Sat. mornings, I usually get a few block from home and suddenly think "Oh, car talk is on" and tune in. Gonna miss these guys.

I'd heard one of the two is ill and this may be the last chance to smell the flowers and all that. Another source says they had the garage closed by a fire and no insurance! From the Las Vegas oddsmaker its pick em!

I believe that "Clack" (Tommy) had a pacemaker installed.
09:37 PM on 06/10/2012
Tom has had health issues over the years and this was coming at some point sooner rather than later. The garage is still fine. Ray sold it a few years back but he has for that time still some in most Thursdays to work on cars. Tommy hasn't worked in the garage since the 70's. I started taking my cars there in 1978 and my son still takes his car to Good News. I had the distinction of being their engineer from 1978-1981 when it was still Live and local.

I hate to see them go..and my husband will be bummed, but 25 years is a long time.

Happy Retirement Click & Clack! Thanks for the laughs!

My favorite hour of every Saturday is the one occupied by "Car Talk". The humor, brilliance, insight, and wit distributed by "Click and Clack, the Tappert Brothers" is the high point of the week. I'm thrilled to find myself in my car, laughing out loud, at the antics of these two geniuses. I will miss their wisdom, their mechanical knowledge, and their coffee-spewing humor. Kudos to the whole production team, and thanks for all the great moments on NPR.

One of my favorite calls was from the woman in Germany who said that her boyfriend had a piece of the Berlin Wall stuck in the trunk of his sports car and could not get it out.

Ray's advice? "Float" it out by filling the trunk with Mercury! LOL!

And WHO can forget "Max the Schnauzer"???
