I always knew that Twlighters and Vegetarians were evil! Sadly I know people who believe this sort of thing. And heard all kinds of it when I was in church. Dragons, martial arts, horror movies and anime may also endanger your immortal souls...lol

Martial arts may endanger your immortal soul..and your teeth! Booya! (I'm not saying that to you, it's just a joke but for some reason I have to explain stuff like this. I'm too sarcastic for my own good.)

" You can put a Top Hat on a pig and believe it's Fred Astaire...but believing doesn't make it true " Mickey Spillanes Mike Hammer. In the history of planet Earth there's never been proven to exist...anything supernatural. No places, no beings, no events. None...zip...zilch...nada. That includes demons. This is all myth and superstition. The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike. Explaining the unknown by the known is logical...explaining the known by the unknown is absurd...(sigh)

Deuteronomy 18: 9-12 explain what the Bible has to say about avoiding wicked customs, that's good enough for me!
I don't know where they get vegetarianism to fit in the wicked customs, since that was the origional diet of man in the beginning, That also can be found in the Bible Genesis 8-16
God bless.

Other than the Bible says so...what evidence do you have that anything the Bible says...is, in fact, true ? If I say that 2 + 2 = 5...you can take 2 pieces of something and two more pieces of something...count them one at the time...1,2,3,4...and prove that I'm wrong. When the Bible says things that concern the supernatural...you have no way to know whether it's true...and I have no way to know whether it's not. I can, logically, suggest that since there's no evidence of any kind to support it's tales of the supernatural...those tales are probably not true. Almost anything is always possible...but that doesn't make them probable. The Bible is...a collection of ancient religious myths...and lots of superstition. It contains some good stuff...Love your Neighbor...and lots of erroneous stuff. There never were two people, literally, named Adam & Eve. The Earth is far older than the less than 10,000 years as claimed by the Bible. There never was a worldwide flood. Myths are useful to societies such as existed 2 - 3 thousand years ago. In light of todays vast knowledge (libraries full)...reason is a better guide to living than are ancient myths and superstitions

If God does not exist, it does not matter how you wager, for there is nothing to win after death and nothing to lose after death. But if God does exist, your only chance of winning eternal happiness is to believe, and your only chance of losing it is to refuse to believe. As Pascal says, "I should be much more afraid of being mistaken and then finding out that Christianity is true than of being mistaken in believing it to be true." If you believe too much, you neither win nor lose eternal happiness. But if you believe too little, you risk losing everything.

Ah, good ol' Pascal's Wager, the Argumentum ad Baculum sucker bet. You do realize, JanDek, that humanity has had more than one god-concept over the years? That changes the odds considerably.

What if Bastet is the Real Deal and you get reincarnated as a mouse because you gave stale cat treats to your feline overlords?

What if Odin and Freyja decide that the Einherjar (valiant dead warriors airlifted from the battlefield by Valkyries) should use you for target practice because you feigned belief out of fear?

And what if the god-in-charge just happens to prefer skeptics to yes-men?

Having read up on several of these subjects - astral travel, remote viewing, etc. - they do warn that negative energy beings can attach to you when doing such extensive things with your mind. But some of the stuff on this list is just rediculous.
Items they should have included....watching the news, bath salts, bullying, murder, torture...

Definitely bath salts, apparently they cause zombies and cannibals..and I would hope that they would be the epitome of damned souls..

When the world was created the origional diet was NUTS, FRUIT and GRAINS, and the herbs of the field. Meat was used as food only after the flood, because there wasn't enough vegeatation on the earth as a result. Where in the Bible does it say not to be a vegetarian? It has been proven that vegetarians live longer and healther lives than those who live on a meat diet. Deuteronomy 18: 9-12 does say to avoid wicked customs, but it says nothing about avoiding vegetables. God rained down manna "bread" from Heaven to the Israelites, not a pork roast, or a side of beef! I think the author took that out of context.

I wasn't aware Levitation caused demonic possesion, I always figured that was a symptom.
(and WTH is remote viewing? is that like peeping on someone?)

Also, seems like this list consists of things that may be even the slightest bit of fun.

this leads me to believe that Satan = Fun

as I've been told numerous times that I'll be going to hell anyways, this gives me something to look forwards too.

The most offensive or ridiculous think in this whole article is your trying to make out like this ISN'T true. Show that you have atleast a little common sense here. Thinkg like gluttony and hatred aren't listed or mentioned here because they are a "given". If you can't understand that, then how will you believe something that is actually listed, but don't understand the reasoning behind why it is?

I'll never forget many years ago when some Jehovah's Witnesses knocked on my door when I was reading one afternoon. We had a quick chat. They talked about their mission and how Jesus would be coming any day now, just around the corner. Then they held up their copy of Watch Tower. The cover was an image of an issue of Daredevil where Elektra was being brought back to life after being killed by Bullseye. The headline was, of course, about the evils of comic books. They started to talk about it a little and I sort of shyly lifted up the comic I'd been reading...that same issue of Daredevil (which I'd just bought from Comics & Comix the day before to fill a gap in my collection). There were two of them and one of me, and we just all sort of uncomfortably nodded to one another. They handed me the copy of Watch Tower and walked away without a word, not upset, but resigned.

I'd like to thank Frank Miller and Klaus Janson for that memory.

I know for a fact that you're incorrect.

They absolutely did, at least on the version handed out at door-to-door greets.  I'll bet I still have it in a box somewhere.

It had the cover to this comic in it:
http://www.comicvine.com/daredevil-resurrection/37-22785/

It also had a couple of comic panels reprinted in there, specifically some panels that showed images of characters resurrecting Elektra.

The cover of the magazine was either a reprint of this cover or possibly one of the internal panels.  I don't remember which, but there was definitely reprinted art on the cover of the Watch Tower they gave me because I recognized it as soon as they held it out and I'd just seen the same image.

The resurrection was one of the specific 'evils' they were discussing.  The issue came out in '83, but I didn't buy it new, so this was probably a couple or few years later.

Do you know, do they still do that, the door to door stuff?
