Why does it seem fit to post a political point of view on a story about a man battling a horrible disease? I really thought I would click on the comments and see people just wishing the man well. I guess that's just to much to ask these days. I hope you get through it Congressman.

I am sure he will take advantage of the great health care taxpayers must pay for for the members of Congress. Nice to see that while he voted against improving health care for Americans he doesn't mind taking advantage of the health care he is given. He should refuse any government sponsored health care but of course he won't. I have no sympathy for him or his health.

Idiocy. His healthcare is the result of work, just like mine. He's compensated for work and is not freeloading.

That said - we should have single payer healthcare, but a sane one.

I wish him well. His taxpayer funded health care benefits are fair game, as long as the GOP insists upon demonzing public employees and the benefits they work for as well.

[I am sure he will take advantage of the great health care taxpayers must pay for for the members of Congress.]

That might be inaccurate. There is no requirement that any member of the Congress enroll in any of the healthcare programs available under the FEHB. About 10% of Federal employees are not in any of the FEHB plans, for one reason or another. FEHB enrollment is not mandatory.

I wish you well but please think of the people diagnosed with no healthcare as the taxpayers are paying for your treatment.

My prayers are with him and his family.

And for the disgusting liberals on this site, hopefully by the time you will be evicted from your homes you won't have internet access to spew your bile anymore.

You pray for this post but then you pray that others you disagree with will lose their homes. Typical religious hypocrite. How about shedding some prayers for those who have this disease but who cannot afford medical care you twit?

I wish him the same success that Andy Whitfield had fighting it. Coincidentally, the same success he wishes everyone in America has acquiring healthcare coverage as great as he has.
01:59 AM on 07/30/2012
Aww, you're a sweetheart! I'm sure he wishes the same to you and your family.

Good thing he has that government run health insurance that he wants to deny to 50,000,000 other Americans.

Thanks for saying what I was thinking.

Good think he has a job that compensates him by a benefits package including health care, like most Americans.

From his district in Michigan: Dave Camp is well loved in his Republican Enclaves of Traverse City and Midland who consistently outvote us po' folks in places like Owosso, I have to say he'll get more than enough "Get Well's" from his friends. He will not get mine.
11:13 PM on 07/29/2012
I hope he gets his insurance dropped and dies slowly and painfully
12:34 AM on 07/30/2012
Not nice
02:01 AM on 07/30/2012
I would never wish that on you. Instead, if you get a horrible and painful disease I hope you live to the ripe old age of 90. I just care that much!

I wish him a complete and total recovery. Afterall... he has complete faith in his insurance for its automatic AND he's covered for the rest of his life. No worries about being dropped.

I wish ALL Americans could be afforded as much. Just saying..

I wish Rep. Camp a full recovery, politics not withstanding. Several friends are now or have recently been cancer patients; it's not a subject where I feel inclined to snipe, regardless of party or policy affiliations.

Camp, not meaning to push in the midst of your trials, but please note how the near-concensus is that you're lucky to have health care paid by the taxpayers. How about if we make sure that all Americans have the same access to health care that you do. Please sir!
