Oh I understand them just fine. I want them to stay away from my kids because I don't want my kids getting shot.

You're afraid a Sikh will shoot your kid? Are you afraid of monsters under your bed and big foot too? Sikhism is, quite literally, the most peaceful religion of the bunch. Education is key, amigo.

Wonder how long it will take Roberts to realize he's equated Sikhs, Christians and Jews (still no Muslims allowed). Back-tracking to follow.

Sikhs have immaculately groomed beards and brilliant colored turbans. And they are Indian.

Moslems cultivate a beard and most of them are pretty unkempt and their turbans seem to be exclusively black, brown or white. And most of them are Arabic. (yes, I am aware of the many Islamic Pacific Islanders, Indonesians and other Asians as well as African Muslims)

This seems like a no-brainer. You would really have to be intensely and willfully ignorant to not see the difference right before your eyes.

Actually most Muslims don't were turbans-I've never seen them wear it at any of the mosque I've been to. Muslim men usually will sometimes wear the Kufi(especially those of Asian/African descent) or if of Arab descent, the Keffiyeh in various colors-neither of those are a turban and its not required to wear either one. Also while most Arabs are Muslims, most Muslims are NOT Arabs! Most ARE ASIAN-from Indonesia, Malaysia,China and various other south Asian countries! Please note that Afghans, Pakistani and Indian are not Arabs!

From what I've read, Muslims in afghanistan wear the turbans more than any other Muslim.

"What is amazing, even 10 years, 11 years after 9/11, most Americans don't know who Sikhs are," Singh said. "That scares me." -- Americans don't know who they are themselves let alone who others are. Go to the South and tell any of the "mericuns" that they are Europeans and they'll laugh at you. That's how ignorant Americans have become.

Well... many are descended of Europeans, as well as other continents. I think it matters where you were born. My surname is descended from Holland, but my male line came to New York before the Civil War. I'm more a New Jersey-ite, myself, having been born here. (My grandmother on my mother's side, however, was one-quarter Native American.)

Well I'm American, born and raised. But yes my descendants were all from Europe. So its probably more appropriate to think one is American of European descent.

You don't actually know where your descendants are from. They have not been born yet.

I believe the biggest thing I need to understand about Sikhs is that this is the United States of America and we have freedom of religion here. I have heard and read that they are targeted because idiots confuse them with Muslims. So? Sikh or Muslim, it is still no excuse to murder someone. There is no excuse for the attacks against Sikhs in the past and there is no excuse for what happened this weekend.

Yes, it was just the most superficial recant of troublesome encounters in the U.S. After "Milwaukee," it's time for them to transform the "kirpan" back to something more functional than "ceremonial".....????
