Thompson argued that because he hasn't been in government for the past 10 years, he has no obligation to release his tax returns.     "I have not been in the government. I've been in the private sector," Thompson said. "The answer is no."

So ....  when seeking a public elected office,  Mr. Thompson - who has made a ton of money as a political lobbyist and consultant  Read More...

“"This is a job interview, and you need to know everything about us. You need to know what our tax returns look like. Including Mitt."

- Rick Perry

Don't pretend this is JUST a liberal argument, because it NEVER was.

"Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Mike Tate said the 10 years are important, however, because it's "when Tommy Thompson has been cashing in on his name and selling his influence."

Wow. That is a wonderful reason. I am starting to think that nobody really knows why they want the returns.

The Emperor has no tax returns.

Well, you wouldn't want him to be the Emperor With No Clothes, would you?

(Be hard to get that image out of your mind today, huh?)

No, ten years is enough. When you consider that's 70 years in dog years and Thompson is 70, it'd be absurd to ask for 15. I can guarantee that Thompson won't make it to 105.

The more the better. One could argue that 10 clean years in a row is probably not a fluke and it is highly probable that such a person is an honest citizen. It would take an incredibly patient criminal to go "under cover" and refrain from questionable financial dealings for 10 years.

Thompson is up by more the 10 percent among likely voters, so the Democrats continue to divert and avoid talking about the important issues. Wisconsin Democrats candidate is an extreme left-winger who cannot run on her record.

I think you're thinking about his ten point lead in the all important Oompa-Loompa poll, otherwise, Tammy and Tommy are even.

And given that the unions have come out for the Oompa-Loompas, their poll will soon show a big shift to Baldwin as well.

Then Thompson will have to rely on any votes the Koch Bros. can buy him.

Thompson don't want everyone to see how his personnal financial net worth has miraculously balloned after he was able to trade his government connections for a sweetheart deal lobbying for corporations and corporate "rights" against the citizens' civil rights and liberties.

The people of Wisconsin already know what the Republicans did to them once they got a majority in the state house. If they vote for any Republican, they already know what will happen. It's up to them.

Tommy isnt very bright, he's playing "Me too". He thinks it will get him attention and party support.
Truth is that no one really cares about his tax returns and no one asked for them.

Memo to the GOP:
You should not be following Mitt's actions because the people you want to represent need to have the total picture of who you are.
