That's exactly what should happen and they should get a lot of money.

"The university takes these cases very seriously," La Torre said ...

Please don't patronize, Mr. La Torre. Had the university taken this very seriously when they had the chance, it wouldn't be in the mess it's in now, and more importantly, children wouldn't have been sacrificed in the name of football, reputation and money.

Yep, they proved their utter disregard for the victims a long time ago.

They'll have to auction off the campus...a piece at a time. Probably to some hedge fund that will use it to open up a for-profit trade school...(for aspiring IT techs, auto mechanics, medical office assistants and hair stylists).

I just hope they do the right thing and make sure the victims get all the help they need and not just think for themselves.

Sue their a##### off. The university is just as much at fault for not stopping it as Sandusky is for performing their heinous crimes. They deserved to be left with nothing.
They deserve to be demoted to a small college trying to grow into a larger school. Maybe then they will realize that first and formost a college should be directed to higher education of the students. Those that are "We are Penn State" should accept and move on. If those that are worried about football, then move on somewhere else. Understandably those that are alumni and fans are dissapointed, but also understand what if this was your child. Football is nothing compared to these survivors.
The school put the football program first instead of the lives and the damage that was done to children and with the knowledge that this was happening.

Penn State was just 1 among a large group of people and organizations failing to act responsibly. There is absolutely no justification for the failure to take action in the protection of children, However, Penn State (because it has deep pockets) should not be expected to bear the full and sole cost of this failure. The investigators who investigated the first complaint coulld have put a stop to every subsequent offense. Every participant in this horrible situation bears responsibility for events subsequent to their involvement..
12:44 PM on 08/25/2012
The investigators did give their professional opinion that Sandusky should face criminal charges. Da Gricar's nephew reportedly said his uncle complained bitterly that Penn State was stymying his investigation, so Ped State is heavily culpable and should pay heavily. However, you are correct in that all others involved should also be punished.

Penn State should be held liable for Sandusky's actions. They were afraid that their macho veneer would be exposed.

When in the name of all that is relevant will this SOB be brought to trial? It is time.
Hey, how about the Fort Hood Shooter? Remember him. He is still awaiting trial
and witnesses SAW HIM SHOOT ALL THOSE PEOPLE. So much for "speedy
trial."

Intending to disregard neither the demented gravitas of Sandusky’s behavior nor the harm thereby caused, but as Paul Harvey would say, “Now . . . for the rest of the story.”
