Bain’s private-equity executives have enriched dozens of organizations and millions of individuals in the Democratic base — including some who scream most loudly for President Obama’s re-election. Government-worker pension funds are the chief beneficiaries of Bain’s economic stewardship. New York-based Preqin uses public documents, news accounts and Freedom of Information requests to track private-equity holdings. Since 2000, Preqin reports, the following funds have entrusted some $1.56 billion to Bain:
* Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund ($2.2 million)* Indiana Public Retirement System ($39.3 million)* Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System ($177.1 million)* The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension System ($19.5 million)* Maryland State Retirement and Pension System ($117.5 million)* Public Employees’ Retirement System of Nevada ($20.3 million)* State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio ($767.3 million)* Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System ($231.5 million)* Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island ($25 million)* San Diego County Employees Retirement Association ($23.5 million)* Teacher Retirement System of Texas ($122.5 million)* Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System ($15 million)

Facts matter you morons.

So, the Dems. don't have a backbone? Ha! Strickland was fabulous and called your bluff. Succinct, truthful and concise. What a barn burner, and burned the GOP all the way to the quick. And so glad he did not apologize for his comments that were the tour de force last night. Hooray for Strickland!

If the Democrats accused the Republican's of half-truths and lies, then it looks like the Democrast have willingly picked up the other half... LOL

You folks are really funny; in a sad way, but funny none-the-less.

Four years ago was 2008. Bush was still president. So I believe you when you say you are better off today. Thank Obama for your good fortune.

"n Matthew, chapter 6, verse 21, the scriptures teach us that where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

This was my favorite part of his speech, he was great!

Most damning line: Mitt Romney never saw the point of building something when he could profit from tearing it down.

Great speech about Americans and why Mitt Romney is not the guy to serve them.

I thank Gov. Strickland for his speech. My 87 year old mother called in tears, laughing so hard, because, as she said, finally a guy who would tell the truth about the Lyin King. The line that got her going was Romney firing Santa's reindeer and outsourcing the elves. Boy, that was good! Kudos to Strickland.

Extremely proud of Gov. Strickland. A shame our state didn't realize what it had until it was gone.

I saw recently that Gov. Kasich's approval had moved up to 41%. Before the Right get too excited, President Obama's approval in Ohio is 44%. When Gov. Strickland lost, his was at 43%.

I bet Ted's is higher than both right now. Wonder if we saw Gov. Strickland launching his comeback bid for the Governor's mansion last night or his opening for a run against Sen. Portman.

Really? Strickland's record as governor is off-limits? Why was a post describing Strickland's accomplishments removed?

Romney, does not have anyone's best interest at heart, he only cares about himself and his family.
