Ryan worked to get funds from the very plan and the very Affordable Care Plan which he vehemently opposed and wants to eliminate.  His area needed one of the clinics and he applied for the funds, relating how the area needed it and that it would serve people in his district.  It was something needed in his district and his voucher plan would not help provide anything of that sort, and would  Read More...

All of us would really like to see the individuals who would be served by that clinic and similar ones to have access to them, but the very people who would be served by this clinic probably vote for Ryan and he and his associates oppose the care on votes and would deny it to their constituents and everyone if they have the power to do so.  The hypocrisy of it is appalling blatant.

Ryan and Romneys' ads have been ripping into the modifications made for Medicare in the Obama plan, and have been telling the recipients it will destroy Medicare, when their plans really would destroy Medicare and accessibility, and their plans go much, much further in decreasing benefits while taking no steps to control costs. They are not addressing the issues which make health care here in the U. S. twice as much, twice as much to maneuver through the system, and the disparities involved.

The first thing which should occur is pulling Medicare Part D back into Medicare and then Medicare, Medicaid, CHIPs, any of the State programs  paid for in either in entirety or partially by the Federal government, military and VA plans should be placed into one massive purchasing plan for negotiating costs.  These plans should not pay one cent more for pharmaceuticals than the average paid by the other industrialized countries, and make that the policy for durable goods and technology as well.  Using centers of excellence for expensive programs and for things like patients with congestive heart failure would save billions and the care would improve immensely.

We do not hear that from Ryan and the Republicans, we just hear cuts which would limit access further, but Ryan must recognize the need is there for things he wants to eliminate.

Dear Mr. Ryan, please do not associate me with anything you are connected to. You do not follow any of my teachings. You are not an actual Christian. Sincerely, Jesus.

Jesus come back! We need you to clear up a couple things...if you could possibly please spare a few minutes. I know you are a very busy man. Sincerely, a secure Christian..

Thankfully, Ryan didn't spend any of that money on building himself a solid campaign that's not built on sand or lies.

No change? Perhaps the only way you can tell the difference is the glaring hypocrisy from the right.

Yeah, no change, except for the lying part.

I love it when disgruntled Republicans play indies. It's so cute.

This fits so well with the hypocritical ill-informed man that Ryan is. His image as a straight shooting policy wonk did not even last a month.

We have found out this straight shooter can not give a speech without lying about things he has direct knowledge of.
He can't add.
He faults others for the same budget policies he advocated.
He voted for all the unfunded wars, tax cuts, and Bush policies yet he considers himself a deficit hawk.
This anti-choice, God above all, man's hero is the pro choice atheist Ayn Rand.
He is against maintaining social welfare for others but used it to get his own education.
He considers himself patriotic, but pledged to do all he could to attack the commander in chief during a time of war and economic turmoil, instead of working together to heal our country.

Really now, this is the best of the tea party?

What else do you expect, the guy is a conservative Republican, of course he is a fraud... that is the basis of the entire personality. He also voted for all of W's policies that exploded the national debt, but yet we are told that he is a "serious" guy.... gee, I wonder what the media's idea of a "non-serious" candidate if this is the low bar they set-

Yes, just like modern Democrats who claim to stand with American workers while granting amnesty to illegals.

As soon as the GOP/TP get voted out of the House & Obama can actually get his Jobs Bills passeed, these illegals will also find jobs & be Paying Taxes which will help reduce the deficit. These "illegals" that you hold so much disdain for are very intelligent & talented people. I worked with many Latinos (legal) when I worked for a Texas State Agency for 8 years - their work ethic put many of us to shame. Perhaps that's what you're so worried about and jealous of?

This is shocking. Its as if Bill Clinton had signed NAFTA into law, or banking deregulation, or normalized trade with China ...and then complained about Romney offshoring jobs. Oh wait.

But President Clinton never then turned around and tried to outlaw NAFTA or the deregulation just because Republicans thought it was a good idea.

The GOP loves spending just as much as the Dems. I mean, come on people. BOTH parties are identical. They BOTH tax workers and then give the money to their buddies. They just have different corporate and foreign buddies. That is the ONLY difference. And increasingly they even have the same exact corporate buddies. They are just fighting over power.

12:43 AM on 09/06/2012
Of course, another way of looking at this is that Ryan (and other such Republicans) are endorsing just how vital these services are. If they weren't vital, Ryan and company wouldn't be asking for the funds. The last Congress allowed them to do things for their communities and constituents. They won't be able to say the same from work this Congress has done. Indeed, they can claim the opposite such as the loss of benefits for those suffering long term unemployment. Worse, there hasn't been a savings on the deficit as promised by the austerity.
