Whoever wrote this headline either can't see or doesn't know the definition of "taking out".
The player ran over the cameraman.
Desperate for a headline?

Would we be reading this story if the cameraman was hurt and not the player? How is the cameraman? The thing to keep in mind is that cameramen and sideliners are to be considered the same as the goalposts or officials - you run into them, well, there ya go.

What a terrible headline. The cameraman had nothing to do with rolle's injury except for being there.
07:05 AM on 09/21/2012
I don't see a cameraman "taking out" Rolle, I see Rolle "taking out" a camera and a woman...

funny thing was that all 5 comentaries all picked carolina to win before the game started and not one picked the giants...... shows you how much they know about the game

cameraman did not injure anyone. the player tried to jump over him and he missed.

They both were where they were supposed to be.

It was an accident.

Dear NFL....Thursday night games suck. They are dangerous for the players who have to go on too few days rest...and its unfair to the teams who have to face the teams after 9 days rest.

The camera guy never got hit if you look closely. Rolle hit the actual camera with his knee and the cameraman went down because he was holding the cam. At any rate, everyone on the sidelines knows its hazardous to be there. It's surprising this doesn't happen more often.

first...he was NOT on the field...he was on the sideline...WHERE HE WAS AUTHORIZED AND SUPPOSED TO BE...second...the player took out the camera guy...not the other way around.

First off he was on the field. Being at the boundaries of the actual playing field does put you off the field. The fans in their seats are off the field.

Also, make the penalties consecutive, not concurrent. Your team has 5 violators in the exclusion zone. 5 X 15 = a 75 yard penalty. If the End Zone is exceeded then award 1st and goal at the 1 yard line. See how fast this problem evaporates !

The league needs to control the sideline mobs. No-one should be within 10' of the sideline, not coaches, reserve players, camera men or celebrities.......Start calling & enforcing 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalties on anyone breaking the zone of exclusion. And I do mean anyone.
If you're not an active player or official, you're flagged, and the 'get back coaches' can enforce it or get fired !

You mean the fat white guy sitting down injured the football player?

It's a good thing most of them watch the game from home, then!
