Oh, pleaze! Just because that is all that fell and was reported. Are you suggesting he/they just started?
11:27 AM on 10/04/2012
He must have a serious problem to bring a joint to court. her was going to celebrate after his victory.

it doesn't matter if it is a plant or not, it is against the law. When the law changes, then you can say, it is just a plant. But it is more than a plant, it is an illusigenic
11:39 AM on 10/04/2012
This is silly. "Against the law" means jack when the law is corrupt and pointless.

I am not in support of the laws here, but I am glad that even though it was one of their own, or one they work with closely, the cops still arrested him and didn't look the other way. I think that this speaks highly of the officers involved. However, I don't really think that this attorney needs any help, he just had a joint!
11:25 AM on 10/04/2012
Then what is your point? do you not see the hypocrisy in your post? yes the cops did their job. They arrest a man for having a joint. way to clog up the system with 1950's ideology and mentality. If anything you, should be ashamed of everyone for being hypocrites and running the offices of this country affecting an effecting it's citizens for failed slogans of a failed era long ago. The cops, the lawyers, the judge and the entire system is one big lie filled with liars lying about their hypocrisy for the sake of the default argument... children. what to know what to tell your children? Tell the truth and tell it often. It's far better to live with the consequences of truth than a lie.

I agree, the "children" argument is overused. I wonder where the prohibitionists got it from?

"The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. "

You are probably right. If I drank three martinis I wouldn't be able to make it to the car. I do remember back in the sixties and early seventies when this was common place - even something that you could write off on you expense account. I was very young - just out of school in the mid seventies and waiting on the lawyers and judges drinking them.

I haven't smoked for twenty years and am for the full legalization of weed.

But a prosecutor whose wife is running for office dropping a joint at the feet of police in the court house?

This goes beyond poor judgement...this man is a_MOR0N.

There's a lot in this little story, first the screaming hypocrisy in all directions as an attorney is smoking and possessing a banned substance but reality strikes as we see what happens. This pathetic little incident loses your job and look at the cops, they know this but it's just a laughing matter to them and then he hides in shame and his wife apologizes for him like he has some disease of shame like syphilis. It's like the gay bashing politician who gets caught hitting on other guys in a public toilet. Instead she and he she demand reform so people don't have to lose their jobs anymore.
