But she's not blonde! If she had a bag over her head, she'd look better. For God's sake,Gwyneth,do something with that HAIR! It's always, flat, long and scraggly..She would never have gotten into the business if her mother hadn't been an actress, because she is homely an untalented.

I don't think she is attractive at all, from the head down. She's a nice person, charitable, but giving her all this attention for her looks is overboard. Even her knees are knobby.

Kerry Washington? No, no, and also, no. Shoes were great though. Lea Michele? No, no and also, no. Shoes were great though. I'm sensing a theme here.

And what's with the awkward pigeon-toed pose?

That pose always makes me think they have to go to the bathroom. ha!

"And what's with the awkward pigeon-toed pose?" I was wondering that same thing. Makes them look like five-year-olds.

I think Mandy Moore looks great, best I've seen her look in a while. I love Kerri Washington's dress; I think she's a bit underrated. I also like Emma Robert's and Evan Rachel Wood's dress.

Dang it. This didn't go through for some reason. Try #2:

Observations:

-- Evan Rachel Wood wins. She looks like a million dollars. Wow.

-- Minka Kelly should always wear her hair up at these events. It helps to accentuate her beautiful face, and jewelry. That gown makes her look like gorgeous "dark princess." She was dreamy.

-- Amy Adams seems to wear that yellow color (or something like it) often. And it always works for her. It must be something to do with the color of the gown and her pale skin and red hair.

-- Gwyneth often wears that tangerine color, too. And again, she is working it. The tangerine along with the black pumps is a great combo. And her au naturale look is nice, too.

-- Lea Michelle is wearing some sexy footwear as usual. It's the one thing we can always count on Lea for. :)

Observations:

-- Evan Rachel Wood wins outright. She looks like a million dollars. Wow.

-- Minka Kelly should never be allowed to wear her hair down at a gala event. She can show off her beautiful face and her jewelry at the same time. And that gown is just gorgeous on her: She looks like a "dark princess."

-- Amy Adams seems to wear that yellow (or some variation of it) a LOT. And it always looks great on her.

-- Gwyneth, likewise, seems to like that tangerine color, and it works for her. The combo of the tangerine and the black pumps is great. I also really liked the au naturale look she was rocking.

I used to be a big Maria Sharapova fan until she suddenly sharply defined herself as "Russian",
despite receiving years of support, hundreds of thousands of dollars in USTA money, and all the American media behind her. Let her go back to Russia since she appreciates Russia much more than our constant financial support and advertising support...which could have gone to another up and coming tennis player...
11:31 PM on 11/01/2012
Maria has never received USTA money for the simple reason that she never took the American nationality. Don't confuse private scholarships awarded her by private entities with USTA money. As for advertising support, Nadal and Federer are also sponsored my Nike. Are they American?

Not to purposely contradict you, but Federer (my fav) and Nadal (my second fav) do not and have not ever lived in the US. Unlike Sharpova, who has resided here for years...
08:37 AM on 11/11/2012
Like I said, I was a huge Sharapova fan, thIs has nothing to do with foreign or american nationality...
I don't care where she's from or if she sleeps on the russian flag-no one cares...however, she did receive USTA monies and huge support from the organization.  I admire Federer and Nadal as well &  Advertisers can sponsor whomever they want.  That is irrelevant to the discussion.

Umm, what? Maria has never stopped being Russian. She speaks Russian with her family, visits Russia often, plays Fed Cup for Russia, competes in the Olympics for Russia.

She has said repeatedly, since I first realized who she was nearly a decade ago, that she will always be Russian, and that she has no plans on becoming an American citizen.

That being said, some Russian players, like Zvonereva and Dementieva felt as if her participation in the Fed Cup (in order to qualify for the Beijing Olympics) was purely self-serving. They had spent years, decades practicing in Moscow in facilities that were falling apart. And here comes Masha.

But she has NEVER pretended to be an American. Never. She will always be Russia's daughter.
