"Walmart says no one was injured"
If you have to say so ...but it reminds me of a bunch of refugees stampeding the back of a UN food truck tossing burlap bags full of flour into a chaotic crowd that would be eating the peacekeepers if they weren't throwing bags of surplus food. What's the difference between deep red rule in Moultrie, Georgia and the failed state of Somalia, if  Read More...

I've never shopped on Black Friday. I wait for Cyber Monday, I can shop on line in my pajamas! Free shipping, too!
07:17 PM on 11/23/2012
You can still shop on BF and online too. You don't need to go out on the door buster sale deals that people flock to either. There's stores here that open their doorbuster sales from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., and you can wait; until, the afternoon to go out and buy the stuff you need, and/or shop online to see what they have going on. I did that today at my local store, and it wasn't crowded. Also, signing-up on e-mails would've shown earlier deals for BF, and they most likely won't prices won't change when BF rolls around, or if they do it, it's ususally crappy items majority wouldn't want anyways. Either way, Happy Shopping on Cyber Monday! It's entertaining to see how people get hyped up and stupid on BF, but in the end, that's their problem, and it definitly shouldn't be ours!

Great post. I did some shopping on line yesterday also. I also take advantage of "Shop local" Saturday. I'm going out this afternoon to do some shopping at our local shops. We have some wonderful shops 'downtown', another fun thing I do is shop the Farmers Market~they have some wonderful hand made wooden toys, I get those for my Grandsons.

I wish you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season!

Not really. Dolphins are more evolved.

Oh, dear -- are you really going to turn this obviously curmudgeonly jest into a serious discussion about evolved species? Some people are too pedantic by half.

Consumerism is its own breed of stupid. I love reading the death reports when people get trampled, it really shows the average human intelligence.

I don't think political affiliation has anything to do with it. It's just as crowded and undignified in Utah as it is in Massachusetts.

Black Friday:
Because only in America, people trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for

We don't go shopping on Black Friday. Never have, never will.

The merchandise will still be there 3 days from now, 2 weeks from now, 2 months from now, thats what they do... they restock merchandise, its not your "last call" folks... I suspect people love chaos, love a challenge (even if its stupid) and thieves love the opportunity.
06:47 PM on 11/23/2012
And most of it is on line anyways, and much of it no body really, really needs

Black Friday seems to bring out the best in humanity.
Does anyone have a pool going on how many people get shot today?

These people are sooooo DUMB! Have they not yet realized that so-called 'black Friday' is just the last ditch effort for retailers to steal them blind? The REAL deals take place just before these retailers have to pay their taxes on left over stock, which of course, they don't want to pay. They make out by selling it to consumers for a steal, rather than a deal. Americans had better raise the educational bar and fund it completely, or within the next twenty years, there will be no middle class, just a bunch of people with an H-1B visa and the jobs the Americans can't get because they are, well, like these knuckleheads in these videos, LOL . . .

Texas and Florida: both states with loose or nonexistent gun laws. See what happens? You think "nice" people buy guns? just think again.

These people fighting for those cell phones remind me of animal planet show i saw once where a pack of 20 or so wild dog pack were hunting a group of wildabeasts. everyone fighting for piece of bloody flesh. When this sort of thing happens within the human race is it simply disgusting!!!
06:50 PM on 11/23/2012
The difference is the wild dogs needed the meat to live, this behavior is for machines that you can get in any grocery store or for quite cheap on ebay or used or with certain phone contracts

These people are a demonstration of the lowered educational bar over time. They ALL look like knuckleheads, and what's worse, nearly all these people knew that shopping today was going to be a chaotic, nightmarish, JOKE. They should all be ashamed of themselves, should have stayed at home, and I hope that there were no children dragged into this hot mess, albeit, I know there are plenty of parents in America who did just that. No wonder foreigners believe Americans to be fools . . .

It just tells me that some people get a thrill out of being part of a violent mob.

people we should avoid at all costs.

Quite right, very embarassing, and so close to the wonderful pictures of people waiting patiently in line to vote.

What am I thankful for this year. Hmmm. Lemme see:
I'm thankful that I didn't shop on Black Friday.

I'm so not a riot!

I just finished moving after downsizing my parents household of 46 years, gave, donated, sold or threw out so much stuff, can not even think of fighting a mob to get more stuff. Maybe this will help improve the gene pool if all these people kill themselves shopping
