So...after giving this program free reign they now say maybe it wasn't such a good idea? Great legislating Bro! Maybe you should look into the competence of the lawmakers who did this and make them accountable for their failure. Start looking into the ones who gave away pallets of money during the Iraq war too.

First they claim we are not doing enough then we are doing too much...nothing is ever Ok with this group of malcontents. Of course 7,000 toilet seats are fine for the defense department.

And yet Republicans are in favor of more prisons - notable zombie apocalypse strongholds.

I think every penny we pay the do-nothing Republicans is  waste of our tax dollars.

DHS didn't have to send its people on a zombie seminar. They could have stayed right here in Washington and used the House of Reps as stand in zombies. No training needed!!!

Sen. Coburn (R-OK) and all other Rs (-from wherever), in the Senate and/or the House simply cannot complain about taxpayer money wasted on expenses like this one. It was their party that sold Americans on the idea that if the Country "outsourced" many of the functions that were previously handled by Government employees, the taxpayers would save money and everything would function better. Prior to the Republican reformation, training was often held in uncomfortably furnished meeting rooms in plain Government buildings. Now the profit motive of the Training Contractor, its subsidiary or partner resort operator and the transportation contractor must be considered. Is it really any mystery why Republicans virtually never mention President Dwight D. Eisenhower (R, by the way) who warned Americans of just this system?

When the zombies come, just ship them to Oklahoma where thanks to Coburn voters, they'll starve.

"We would have been frustrated to learn that limited federal resources were now subsidizing the purchase of low-priority items."

Can I include the 200+ Republican House members in this since we will be paying them 174,000 each to work 126 days next year?

Are we even sure they actually "work" during those 126 days?

No, I'm sure they do as little as possible.  They probably spend most of their time on the basketball court, in the sauna's or hot tubs, down in the free cafeteria, or getting a massage or two.

I often wonder if there is a program in this country that isn't someone's cookie jar. Quite possibly the difference between paying our own way and the huge debt we have.
