Maybe being ordered to kill women and children standing in a bread line got to be too much for them to handle. There are several historical precedents. Kind of like King Herod ordering all male infants to be killed. Kind of like standing there with fire hoses and seeing little children marching at the front of the line. Hopefully, if one is human, they will lay down their weapons and say 'I cant do this."

Doesn't 'defecting' right before defeat just really mean 'surrendering'.

It's been 14 years and we're still in Afghnstn guarding the poppies.
Without those black money there would be no "arab spring",or brand new weapons for the "rebels" and the world would be at peace.

I predicted about a week and a half ago that the generals and the cash were leaving next.
It's over, but people are still going to be killed and no mater whether we be Jews, Christians, Muslims or whatever, we should pray for them.

"I predicted about a week and a half ago that the generals and the cash were leaving next.
It's over,"

To date there has been 49 generals who had defected that is quite low for a defection number and you predicted about a week and a half ago that the generals and the cash were leaving next. It's over?

The Pro Free Syrian Army Supporters have been claiming that Assad would end since 22 months ago. And are still claiming it.

The Syrian fighters arent all Sunnis they are Islamist fighters.

So now we are supporting the Islamist fighters? since i noticed that huffington post just added a picture profile of them.

"The defection comes days after the commander of Syria's military police Maj. Gen. Abdul-Aziz Jassem al-Shallal defected to Turkey."

The Syria's military police Maj. Gen. Abdul-Aziz Jassem al-Shallal defection is still very questionable not mention on where the supposed video defection was posted upon.

It was posted upon an Pro Jihadist facebook page calling itself United Press Office of the Syrian Revolution it has several known fake images on its facebook page with that, it has been posting videos from the Al Nusra Front and its terrorist fighters engaging in different fronts.

Not just the Al Nusra Front but it seems they have also posted several if not more videos showing the Syrian mujahideen.

It has over 1000 fighters including in Aleppo.

Regrading this defection.

"The defection comes as rebels besiege the military air base of Mannagh near the Turkish border."

Really? the defection comes as rebels besiege the military air base of Mannagh near the Turkish border What about the fact that the Islamist fighters are losing Homs and the Damascus push had failed again?

It seems to our media has failed in Journalism to deliver us a different narrative, remember Egypt Libya anyone? both are still a mess.

The profile has been embedded in a bunch of HPs recent stories on Syria.

You got lucky slipping in the comment on Homs. Most people are censored (especially me) if they point out an HP spin or get too close to the truth.

"It seems to our media has failed in Journalism to deliver us a different narrative..."
-Do you think it's a coincidence that there is absolutely no international report corroborating this article? It seems like the only stories related to this claim (around the world) come from the Associated Press. Sounds kinda fishy, if you ask me.

If there's anybody that is still confused about Syria, Google the Wikipedia page "A New Strategy for Securing the Realm" (since HP won't let me print the full name or link) to take the first step toward enlightenment. Then, perform some due dilligence outside of HP, because you don't get the full story here.

the guy in the photo is holding an american made M249 Light Machine Gun...that's not good..it's gonna end up in the wrong hands...hopefully they'll burn the barrel up before it gets turned against us...that rifle has a rate of fire of 15 rounds per second, and it's accurate

Max Baucus: What's in your wallet?

It doesn't matter. There is an endless supply. The "Free Market" triumphs.

Small Arms Survey:
"Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and the United States routinely report annual exports of small arms, light weapons, their parts, accessories, and ammunition worth USD 100 million or more. The Small Arms Survey estimates that China and the Russian Federation also routinely achieve this level of activity although the reporting by Beijing and Moscow is particularly incomplete. Between 2001 and 2010, the Survey has documented 10 other governments that have exported USD 100 million or more in small arms at least once: Canada, France, Israel, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom."
