Chavez is a real socialist and Obama is a supporter of neoliberalism, it always makes me laugh when the right in America try too paint Obama as a socialist.

I know this is off subject here, but is that a beagle in your icon there? I have a beagle who is half 13 inch, half copper nose that looks just like that picture.

Some day we will learn where the billions in oil revenue really went over the last 14 years.
It certainly did not go to uplift the poor.
It is cheaper just to print phony statistics showing huge improvements in health&literacy than actually attempting to make those improvements in real life.
On the ground none of the social improvements are there to be seen. None. Only a few subsidized groceries [when not in severe shortage]

But his five brothers and him are really, really rich now. So the money did go to Venezuelans at least.....

When he returns somebody had better hold a mirror up to his nose to see if he is really breathing. I would also check to see if there are any strings tied to his wrist to raise his hand if he attempts to take the oath of office. His only purpose for taking the oath is to prolong the time until an election needs to occur, thus allowing his mafia to sell and steal as much as possible and then to flee to a country where there's no extradition.

That's the beauty of making silly predictions on the internet. When they don't come true, nobody remembers you made them.

Gareth, go back to the basement and ask your mother to bring you your milk and cookies like a good boy.  Isn't it funny, his brother says he'll be home in a couple of days and Jaua is going to Cuba to visit him in a couple of days.  When the chavistas lie, they need to get their lies straight.  It's sort of like Hugo's signature copied from another document that they photo shopped on the appointment of Jaua.  Venezuela is more likely than not being ruled by a Zombie!

"The former military chief was convicted of embezzlement and abuse of power, but has insisted he is innocent and dismissed the case against him as a politically motivated reprisal for his opposition to Chavez."

Right, he's not a crook, he's a political prisoner. Wish we could use this defense against the IRS.

Everyone who is convicted of a crime in Venezuela blames their criminal convictions on political repression. This guy was Chavez's defense minister. When a couple million dollars went missing from his department, he suddenly decided he was in the opposition.
06:38 PM on 01/21/2013
Well, he's one of the few members of Chavez's cabinet that doesn't have an arrest warrant issued for them, including Chavez.
08:51 PM on 01/21/2013
No, over a year separated Baduel's break with Chavez and his being charged with embezzlement.

See how easy it is for you to parrot the propaganda your hero pumps out?
