Love stories of being kind to animals. I've stopped traffic and assisted turtles crossing roads in my area before after witnessing someone do it when I was first learning to drive.

I always stop to move turtles across the road, even big ol's snapping turtles. I hate seeing any animals vulnerable in the roadway.

I fell in love with my son's father when he stopped to help a turtle on a busy highway. He got out, picked him up and relocated him then got back in the truck and said " it's not his fault that he's slow".

Stories like these help shore up my belief that most people are decent, caring human beings. If a story makes me cry, I want it to be in a Good way! Thank you Officer Kyle Jones!

Very cute. Wait a minute, Officer Kyle Jones gave this little puppy back to Animal Control ? Not a good idea. He is stupid. If no one claim this puppy for a while then this little puppy will be put to death. Thanks God that someone claim this puppy right away. Whew!

Dayum...you started out good and then screwed it all up. It's a feel story....feel good that the officer scooped him up so he wouldn't be hit and the family got him back.

That's true but sent him to Animal Control is not a good idea. Just saying.

Great story...and nice letter of thanks from the little dog's owner.
I once found a tiny dachshund running down the middle of a road, scooped her up, and was able to later return her to her owner. It's a very good feeling.

You see this a lot with the snapping turtles on the highways in New York, but dogs are cuter and far more worthy of being saved

There is a town on Long Island that is right on the LI sound with a big pond on the other side. We used to stop traffic for mother ducks or geese so that they could get their little ones to and from the pond.

The kindness of a man shown to an animal.

Things happen and the little fellow went for a walk on his own not understanding that it's a whole big world out there and with some not-so-nice people in it.

But in the little fellow case he had a human angel to find him and put him back with his mom and dad.

Bless the officer for caring.
