We must be fair with these "first time offenders." First put their kids up for adoption. Second, beat them both senseless. Finally, a nice long 10 year prison sentence. Taxation without representation must end.

They both admitted to being criminals. They failed the trust of the people. They now must pay their debt. They should be vheld to a higher standard since he was a public official. He must be given a harsh jail sentence.

Democrats are just destroying this great country and its core principals of morality.

Perhaps, but so are the NeoCons!!

For once Mr Jackson Sr did the right thing; not say a word.

So when will they go after the very large number of
others that have done the same thing?

Do the crime....do the time.
They should all be up on charges.

So I saw this on my browsers home page. "Ex-Congressman And Wife To Plead Guilty To Federal Fraud Charges" If this was a story about a republican my guess is it would have read differently.
03:37 AM on 02/17/2013
You are right there. With such a recognizable name I find it interesting that they didn't identify him. Then again, I am sure Bush is responsible for anything JJ Jr. did wrong.

Such a sad but exemplary example of political entitlement.

No big deal. I'm sure they will both be re-elected by their brainless constituents when they're paroled.

Buz Holzman, you are correct. All you are saying is that HP often prints more articles unfavorable to Reps. than to Dems.

While certainly wrong, it pales by comparison to what many Republicans have done, are doing, or will do. Corruption is ruining America.

They barely mentioned that he was a Democrat. If he was a Republican, it would be front page news with the headline running--Another Republican Crook. But since he is a Democrat, they barely mention it way down in the news item. What a joke these people are at HP. They will probably not print this comment because it is true.

The article is from Reuters... HP ran it as-is. If anyone really wanted to downplay the "Democrat" in the article, they would have inserted a very tiny (D) after Jackson's name, instead of actually using the full length "Democrat" in the text. This individual is a well known Democrat anyway, so your concerns may be a little overstated. HP didn't write the article, so the joke's on you!

He had a perfect teacher in daddy and the other Ohio man in his life , I just wonder when his LOVE CHILD will come into the picture like daddies did, and will he have to pay any of it back with a modest intrest charge, Ohio has been a good influnce on political figures in the past few years now from buying seats to stealing funds and putting the country at risk with last election results, maybe that state should suceed and save us all alot of headaches. And of course take their elected official with them.
