You know how everyone is talking about getting out of debt?  Well you can give up on that idea right now.  I can't think of a better example of how we are never, ever getting out of debt than this current sequestration "crisis."

Case in point:  Even with these 2% cuts, the 2013 budget is STILL going to be 105% of the 2012 budget.  A 5% INCREASE.  Now Washington is crying that  Read More...

Sure it needs to be changed....it all needs to be changed. But you would be naive to think either party has these changes at the top of their priority list.

As long as the cause adds to their election coffers it has their attention....period.

I'm not bored. I just figure that if elections don't matter, nor the will of the people - there isn't much more I can do at this point.

Perhaps next Monday the garbage pick-up for Mr. Boehner's home, Eric Cantor, Rand Paul and about 50 others in the GOP should stretch out to once per month. Now, how do we affect their sewer service?

Will Medicarebecut? Yes, the government-run health care program for
seniors would face a 2 percentcut in Medicare payments to providers
and insurance plans, which amounts to a reduction of $11 billion next
year.

This year the governmetn spent $5 million on reseearch to determine if goldfish interact collectively or democratically. $1.5 million to develop roll up beef jerky. $100,000 to send comedians to India. There are 47 different job training programs across 11 different agencies. 63 green building programs in 14 different agencies. Yea, the WH and Senate Dems are right, there is not enough waste to cover the cost of these cuts, so we have to raise taxes first.

AND YOU DON'T GET IT.
Those are the rediculous expenses - along with "Bridges to Nowhere" Obama want's to fix - but TPublican's are only concerned with protecting the Koch Brothers from paying Income Taxes - [even on their Cayman Island & Swiss Bank Accounts].

Why? - The Koch's own Grover Norquist and Grover owns the TPublicans.

The YAWN`s will all stop the very second one of these cuts affects a real person. If you lose your job, a service is no more, a park you want to visit is closed, or any of a thousand and other unexpected things happen, take note you GOP obstructionist. You are going to get the blame.

Newt did something very similar and paid the price. If you think the public is going to blame president Obama for any of these thing you are nut-so beyond all reason. He`s gone out of his way to ask for compromise and all he gets from you is NO,NO, and more NO!!!

Mr, Boehner: Men like you does not represent America, you are now a speaker of the Looney house. Consider retiring. We will elect some one who cares and look after the needs of his or her constituents.

Unlike any time in history - we have gone from one fiscal crisis to another. Why is that?

Obama was never a leader to begin with and is not one now. You can't just elect someone and expect him to be a leader. He has proven time and time again he can't lead. Leading means bringing people together from opposing sides with opposing views and find common ground. He never has done that while a Senator at both the State and Federal level. Never once introduced a bill or co-sponsored a bill in his entire tenure as a Senator?

That is why most presidents are former governors. They have lead, know what a budget is, how to delegate and make things work. Obama, never did that and his on the job training in leadership and building consensus in a failure at best.

Of course, the Left will blame the Right. But leaders don't use them against us as an excuse. They make things happen, give-and-take. Compromise. They see the big picture and don't sweat the small stuff.

Leaders are also transparent. They believe in what they are doing and will standup for that in the face of criticism...not hide behind facebook and twitter and press secretaries.

Karl Rove suggested the House pass a bill allowing the President and his cabinet to go through thier budgets and cut waste and redundancy rather than essential services. Sen Levin (D) rejected the idea saying he opposes giving Congressional oversight to the WH. So the cuts are stupid, but rather than let the WH go through budgets and cut waste, he wants the slash and burn approach to happen that he claims to oppose. The article points out the real strategy of the WH and Democrats. Make the cuts as severe, painful, piss off the public and use the media to blame the GOP. Essentially, for political gain, the WH and Congressional Democrats are ready to risk public health and safety by cutting essential to see it they can force the GOP to raise taxes again. So basically the President cares so much about you, he is willing to risk your life by cutting air traffic controllers to get a few more bucks to spend on more programs.
