How about banning exports from the settlements into the European Union - that would teach the settlers a lesson.

To the victor go the spoils. They fought a war. Six against one. Israel won. The land belongs to Israel, just as Texas belongs to the United States.

Had it not been for the British and their guns, European immigrants would have never colonized the land in the first place. They colonized the land, it is not their land. Their entire story is full of fairytales.

Oh please. Israel fought the British to establish israel. As English troops were pulling out in May 1948 they gave their guns to the Arabs. Colonized? the Zionists were immigrants who bought land and worked it. Try facts instead of ideology.

Had it not been for the Muslims and their swords, Arab immigrants would have never colonized the land in the first place. They colonized the land, it is not their land. Their entire story is full of fairytales.

Land is not PIE.

If you DO think land is pie you should try some for dessert.

Yet Israel still lays claim to the biggest piece of the pie.

Let's see, when you get land "back" it's usually in better shape or the same shape in which you lost it.

When you get PIE "back" it's ALWAYS S***.

Enjoy the analogy.

(1) Settlements don't make Israel stronger, are unjust, unproductive and a drain on the Israeli budget and military. (2) If all settlement activity would stop (and even if they were all dismantled) there would still be rockets from Gaza raining down on Israeli civilians and Israel would still be treated hypocritically. (3) Netanyahu and Hamas keep each other in power and deserve each other.

>>>>(1) Settlements don't make Israel stronger, are unjust, unproductive and a drain on the Israeli budget and military.

I'll bet you've never been there. No one who has can say that and mean it.

>>>>2) If all settlement activity would stop (and even if they were all dismantled) there would still be rockets from Gaza raining down on Israeli civilians and Israel would still be treated hypocritically

True. And, the temptation to rocket Israel from Judea and Sumaria would also increase.

>>>>(3) Netanyahu and Hamas keep each other in power and deserve each other.

Really? You equate the man who has been calling for negotiations for years with a terrorist organization dedicated to Israel's destruction? Interesting.

(1) Curious as to your perspective. (3) I didn't equate them but commented on their impact on each other's viability.

A man that said 911 was good for Israel? A man that bragged how he secretely ruined the peace process? A man that attacked, Gaza, Westbank, Sudan, Syria/Lebanon in just 3 months period? A man that sits on nukes? An man that colonialize palestinian land? Man of peace? Who taught you this indoctrination?

Israel evacuated Gaza, as a first installment on the road map. Remember that roadmap?

Now, just a few sentences I picked up reading on the internet, yesterday:

Since November 2012, there were 18 attempts by Hamas and Fatah to kidnap Israeli citizens for ransom.

According to Fars Agency, Iran: Salah al-Bardawil (Hamas Sr. Leader) urges terrorists to participate in a rally in Gaza to kidnap IDF soldiers.

December 12, 2012. Noticeable increase in firebombing and stoning. 112terror attacks, 81 in Judea/Samaria, 30 in Jerusalem. Prior to Pillar of Defense 170 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza into Israel in 3 (three!!) days (Nov 10-12, 2012). Increased agression by Hamas. Abbas talks about third intifada. Netanyahu has called for resumption of Peace Talks. Palestinians Refuse. Mr. Obama will come to Israel, Ramallah. Mr. Obama will not be allowed to enter the temple mount, and pray there. If he visists the Mosque, they'd rather he would not, he has to use a side entrance. I could go on and on. Obviously, with the repeated assurances of Hamas, that a Cease Fire does not end the perpetual war, and all the other assurances, Abbas' included, many on video, one may draw one's own conclusions.

I, for one, am waiting to see Abbas' declaration that Jews are very welcome in *Palestine*, and that *Palestine will NOT be an *apartheid state*.

"Israel evacuated Gaza, as a first installment on the road map"

Actually, no. The withdrawal from Gaza was Sharon's initiative and done without any coordination or agreement whatsoever. I wish it had turned out differently, but this is not the way it happened.

Your comments about Abbas are incorrect as he has said there will not be a third intifada while he remains in power. This is laos the opinion of his PM, Salaam Fayyad.

Your comment about Jews being welcome in Palestine is interesting. Do you thin that Israel will welcome armed Palestinians setting up communities outside Tel Aviv? Just asking.
