It is shielded, but you can only put so much shield on, and some high energy particles will penetrate just about any amount of shielding.

rofl. yes. you obviously have access to the schematics. also yeah, it needed to weight more. that way it would have just smashed into the ground and we wouldnt have had to worry about the computer.
