As they found out in Colo., there ARE ways to replace these Wardens. Maybe these For Profit Prison Executives might want to think things out a bit.

Low occupancy?? Prisons are said to all be overcrowded.

Are you shitting me- the state sold the prison and gave the new owners a 20-year contract to run the Lake Erie facility, and an initial 90-percent occupancy guarantee. Its getting scary when the states are allowing private owners to operate prisons at a profit. It would seem that the goal would be to hold the prisoners for as long as possible and try to ensure a speedy return.

Whats that old saying about putting inmates in charge of the asylum?

Looks to me like some of the biggest crooks, are running the show.

Selling drugs to inmates as a way to make more profits. Staging fights for betting purposes etc... Minimum wage employees might be making money this way too.

So that is where the booty from drug busts go. From the street, to the crime lab and straight to the prison.. Complete the loop.

For profit prisons should be illegal. Not only are there inherent issues of conflict of interest, they totally debunk the whole "rehabilitation" fantasy and replace it with revenge. The state convicts and sentences the "criminals", the state should be solely responsible for them.

A group of white collar crooks managing, for money, a bunch of individual crooks and innocents grouped together who have no say about their lives. It's a good time to be a shareholder.

Another tax waste scheme to be flushed. Let the state run their own prisons again. This is not a correctional facility it is PEN state universtity.

It won't matter. Profit is the motive. The contract needs to be terminated.
