If you look at the states in this country that have the highest per capita incomes and the best-educated populations you will see that virtually none of them do anything that conforms to right wing economic ideology.

If you do a search for the ten most prosperous countries in the world you won't find the USA but you will find ten countries that don't do anything conforming to right wing economic ideology

First, read the article again. He doesn't say deregulation is the source of all the problems in California, just that it was the source of the POWER problems that they were having in the early part of last decade.

Second, then go find some actual news, and in particular read up on Enron. Then tell me how OVERregulation caused those power problems they were having last decade....

California's problem? It's been run into the ground by progressives. Even with the insane revenue coming in from agriculture, Hollywood, the ports, and software companies, they're still broke and underfunded.

Why did Romney decide to retire in California?
08:55 AM on 04/01/2013
That is changing since they will now have realistic tax rates. Look what has happened to the national debt since unrealistic tax rates were implemented in 1981. The 205 years before that our debt was under $1 trillion, it is over $16 trillion now

It's not a revenue problem. It's a spending problem!
