only in the 'oh so free' USA would something that's legal in almost all other countries be considered a scandal and made for tv. her story isn't unique, and is infact mild.

I agree it should be legal but it is illegal in most of the world. Germany and The Netherlands do not equal planet earth.

It's legal in most of Europe, actually. In the western hemisphere, the US stands with Suriname, Guyana, Haiti, and Iceland as the only countries who ban prostitution. It's also legal in Australia, New Zealand and India, among other countries. Other countries, like Thailand, don't enforce their anti-prostitution laws. Still others, like Norway and Sweden, only consider the client a criminal, not the prostitute.
