I had a guide once tell me a story about a Beaver debowling a man when he was swimming near a dam. I never knew if it was true but made me think twice about messing around with beavers, that is for sure.

But then you see nature documentaries where the camera man swims into the lodge and films whatever goes on in there. I guess it depends on the individual beaver.

Read the article. There's a mention of fairfax va. I didn't pull that out of my rear, which would incidentally make the VA att. Gen happy. =D

Sadly, this man is not the first, to meet his demise, through the actions of a beaver....

This murderous beaver is the poster child for why men around the world volunteer for beaver patrol duties.

The beaver severed "an important artery"? Wow, don't dazzle us with the technical terms.

I'm sure there is more to this story than a Beaver arbitrarily attacking a random man in a boat......
11:38 AM on 04/12/2013
Er...um..watch the video. Although the guy was on a fishing trip with his friends he was not in a boat. He was walking down a dirt road, and caught up with a beaver who was also ambling down the road. He stop to take video of the beaver and we see it turn toward him...then rush at him....the camera goes all shaky and wobbly and end up on its side...presumably coz the man has gone down.

When it was put on HuffPo the other day it was kind of funny. Not so much now that we know the guy bled out as he was lying there.

Wow....then I stand corrected....sad circumstance and a silly way to die....Who knows, maybe the animal felt threatened...Beavers are ill-tempered animals which should be given a wide berth.

I wonder how many human pelts the beaver has strung in his lodge?

How unusual. Beaver eats man. Normally, its the other way around, from my experience.

Be careful when trying to get photos or following a wild animal. They can either be rabid or scared. And scared animal can attack very aggressively. They are WILD. As in they don't play around. They live in a dangerous highly competitive world. It isn't a Disney movie out there.
