I was caught off guard when I heard a 14 year old shot 73 in Augusta yesterday and no firearms were involved.

F&F - What is the world coming too? An eighth grader makes the cut at the Masters!
Unbelievable.

Question: Is he playing as a pro or an amateur?

Check out masters.com for coverage you control....just discovered this resource.....my computer screen so superior to my ancient tv........

Saw interview with Fred Couples. If Phil is not competitive (not so far) then Fred Couples is the guy I am rooting for....Just a very classy man....At 53 with a bad back, he gives all us oldtimers hope!

Woods would've had a share of the lead if his ball hadn't hit the pin and gone into the water on a par 5. It was a case of his aim being too good. He keeps playing like that, it could get interesting.

These guys are on such a different plane of ability.  If I have two or three sweet shots during a game, I'm pretty happy.  And I'm sure that they wouldn't be happy with my sweet shots.  That's my frame of reference.

The fact that 14 year old has pulled this off at Augusta is nothing short of incredible.

I've read that what that's what the professional golfers are saying about Guan.

Wow, even when the headline is about someone else, they use Tiger's picture? Is he the only golfer they have pictures of around here?

He was singled out that's for sure. Augusta and their old right wing Masters Committee are racist and sexist and now add to the list, Bullies

What's the gripe? If he was entered in compliance with the rules, then he gets to play, and particularly at the Masters, you've got to be pretty good to make the cut...

No gripe just the hype. Yao Ming comes to mind. Its a solid business move.

Good.  Put several hundred million of them out playing golf.  Sounds like a peaceful revolution.

Yeah. The peasants love having their land stolen for golf courses so that the "few" rich can play a stupid game. That will end well...
