If only America could erase the consequences of eight years of George W. Bush and his administrations as easily as Laura Bush erased its history in his shiny, new library.

wtw: Right on. Maybe the supporters of the Cheney/Bush administration can tell us why they were so conspicuously absent from the 2012 presidential campaign. The only past Republican president that was even mentioned, was Reagan. The last Democrat appeared to be of use to their candidate.

George Bush, the legacy that keeps on giving, or should I say keep on taking?

Even Barbara Bush, when asked by Matt Lauer at the opening of the Bush Library recently, stated she wanted 'no more Bushes in the White House', meaning she did not support Jeb running in the future....

George W. Bush and his administration led America on the path to both moral and financial bankruptcy. Ask the families who have lost loved ones fighting in his war of choice in Iraq if the Bush administration is over. Ask the gravely wounded and mentally scarred brave men and women whose lives, and those of their families, have been irrevocably changed forever if the Bush administration is over. Unfortunately the Bush legacy lives on.

Wasn't Obama going to stop both of those wars? I swear I remember hearing him promise that in his campaign. So, why do we still have servicemen over there? Is that Bush's fault, too?

So because of actions Obama has or has not taken, Bush is blameless? Is that your point?
10:46 PM on 05/26/2013
I assume you share that view of Johnson who was responsible for the deaths of 58,000 American soldiers, countless maimed and millions of civilians killed and the thousands who to this day suffer from the ravages of Agent Orange. Unfortunately the Johnson legacy lives on or maybe it doesn't count because he was a Democrat.

I'm talking about the fact that the Bush library erases the unflattering historical facts about the W Presidency. By the way, I actively worked to prevent Johnson from running for re-election because I did not approve of his actions. I call 'em as I see 'em. It's not about partisanship; it's about reality.

So short sighted are the left, that they believe for the first time ever historians will agree with them that the mediocre to poor performance of a two term president was the result of nothing other than................the prior president in office. It's so riduculous as to be offensive to the American citizen and anyone with common sense.

But, but, who will Obama blame ?
04:00 PM on 05/26/2013
The Republicans in congress and the senate of course. Perhaps if they stop obstructing and actually work on jobs bills, then we will stop blaming them.

McConnell said it all for the party when Obama first took office, and he preached to the GOP legislators to obstruct every bill Obama tried to pass -- really??? Then why did we end up in the biggest recession since the Great Depression??? Maybe that decade of tax cuts for the wealthy didn't sit so well when you're spending for two Middle Eastern conflicts and a Medicare Part D supplement without finding the revenue to pay for it!!! The Reps always blame the 'big gov' stance, then they expand it even more!!!

99er---- it is not obstructing when you try to balance the budget. Tell your spouse that ans see how far you get.

Problem? No experience that's the problem. The guy was a community organizer then becomes a Senator for two months and they start talking presidential material.

Are we that screwed up? The most powerful country in the world and we end up with this guy.
