Where the ladies at?
01:31 AM on 10/29/2009
As a handsome 38-year-old stockbroker, I, like Glenn Beck, envision a world where hormone fed-beef is eaten for every meal, and people don't volunteer in their communities and don't help old ladies cross the street.

The following segment of his show (not shown here) was about global warming propaganda and Beck did have clips to back-up his claims. So I will continue watching his show until someone proves him wrong.

Perfect solution in this case!

The IPCC has proven him wrong. When GB gets a degree in climate studies, THEN he gets an opinion worth considering on the topic.

I suppose we should thank our lucky stars that Beck is stuffing his arteries and those of his genetic carry-alls with plack and cholesterol.

My thoughts exactly!

green salad is murder; cole slaw is pure carnage; cream of broccoli soup is mass murder. Glenn Beck may be onto something here.

If meat is outlawed cattle will multiply therefore will eat the crops. What will vegans eat if that happens?

Hopefully each other. After all, humans are "organic". ;)

Maybe if beef is banned we could return the Great Plains to the buffalo.

Only in America can someone make millions of dollars saying crazy things!
What a wonderful country!

Shouldn't a Glenn Beck story be in the Comedy section of Huffpo?

I was thinking the same thing. I had a good laugh over this (as will all the stories about this bufoon).

Really it should be in the Tragedy section...

Somebody should tell him carrots are vegetarian.

You mean to say that they are not? Are there carnivorous carrots lurking in my garden?

You know a pod-person once told me . . .

I am most often in disagreement with Mr. Beck, but I hate to say, I side with him on this one.

Ifitwereme made a statement that really challenged my view by saying "they are removing choices". I don't disagree with the notion that a little healthy eating would do the kids some good, and am certainly okay with the argument that you can always pack a bag lunch. But read that again: "removing choices". WOW.

Now let's look at this from the opposite angle. Schools are required by law to offer a vegetarian alternative every single meal period, so this affects only the omnivorous. But let's pretend for a second that they had a *meat only* day. People would go nuts, and rightfully so. What you're doing is again removing the *choice* from the school and potentially forcing people to eat what they don't want to.

In the name of consistency, one can only side with the Meatless Mondays if they are to be okay with Turkey Tuesdays, or anything else that removes choice from the school lunch program and dictates what the children should be eating.

Is he making a big stink about a little issue? Yes. Is his delivery outlandish and unnecessary? You bet. But the point is valid, you cannot be for the removal of one choice and protest another.

So, abstractly, Beck actually nailed it on this one. I think my soul just threw up a little after saying that. Now, I drink.

Didn't this "Grand Boob" recently cry on the show all worried about his kids' future?
This guy is just ignorant.

.
the repeating fox formula is getting tiresome and very predictable.

i'm guessing the plays are five day events.

you know,
wrap it up in one week so the easily led don't forget what was talked about.
think about it saturday and sunday.
new topic introduced on monday.
wrap it on friday.

repeat.

I'm sure it was Freddie Hayek who proved that the road to serfdom was paved with broccoli.

Him or Dr. Beck, it's hard to tell right wing intellectuals apart.

If he were Catholic, would not eating meat on Fridays mean he had been indoctrinated into some kind of Socialist, anti-meat-eating, pro-healthy-environment group of people too?
