Truth is Stranger Than Fiction...
01:00 AM on 06/08/2013
There was a time, it seems, every time Cory Booker was in the news it was about him running into some burning building and rescuing some old lady or saving a puppy dog etc.
I got the feeling this invincible Mayor of Newark changes into tights in a phone booth and what's more, he's not even afraid of Kryptonite.
I just don't know, Cory Booker seems to be trying a little too hard to show he's brimming with testosterone and full of piss and vinegar. A politician should have constituents not groupies.
Is everybody all ready smitten with this superhero?

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Booker last year at a political function and was so impressed with his knowledge of the issues and the time he took to talk to regular folks like me.

If I were a NJ resident, he would have my vote!

Wishing him the best in his senate race!!

Now the big question is,,, By what right did Christie replace an elected Democrat who died with one of his Republican stooges,,?

In effect Christie is overturning an election,, one in which the people voted for a Democrat..
This is a dictatorial political move by Christie,,,

And another very good reason to vote against him in 2014. He has no respect for the will of the people .

Now, if a dem gov did the exact thing by filling a repub seat with a dem. There would be a screech fest hissy-fit coming from the right and media.

It would be another SCANDAL!!

Yet, this happens and once again, crickets from the dems!!

WE need a new party!

We need to stop doing the GOPs work for them... We need to fight back. We need to stop worrying about how the right wing respond. We need fighters not diplomats,,,

If the Democratic party keeps going this route, I'm signing up for the Democratic Socialist party.

The politics of fear may or may not win elections, but if all you get is milquetoast and a political center somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan...

am I the only one that doesn't know what that means?

and btw..Cory Booker....AWESOME...I hope he gets this seat and I would gladly follow his career up to and including a presidential run somewhere down the road.

LOVE this man.

A Senator is a Senator He or she represents your state I'm sure anyone could do that job. The more important issue is that the Democrats need to keep control of the Senate. One more seat never hurts .That is the only reason I would vote for Booker. We already seen what happens when one party has total control. If the Republicans had control, they would ram through their agenda just like the Democrats did. We don't want to do that again, that wasn't much fun.

What was the point of listing women in the Senate who are not presently serving? Was it just to make the list seem longer?

Vote for Mr. Booker. You feel guilty and want to do the right thing.
