People will complain about anything. It's human nature to look at the bad until you no longer have it, and then all you see is the good that once was.

Anyone can complain about their job. There usually is a reason have to pay you to do it.

This article clearly only shows a one-sided perspective of employee satisfaction amongst us facebookers. Try asking the employees in Dublin, the European HQ. Look at how many has quit during the last year.. but hey if you complain you're basically out so no one dares say what they really think. Pathetic. Regarding too many meetings, too many middle managers and too much bureaucracy, yah we have that in the Dublin office. Way way too much!

I love working at Facebook for 4 of the 5 reasons listed. Fortunately we don't have many meetings in my department :)

Facebook, like most orgs, it all depends on what team you're in.  This article does a great job of marketing it as a great place to work, but I know a number of people who work at the operations facility up here in Seattle, and they all hate it.

a company without some sort of structure (who the hell is in charge here, anyway?) can easily be manipulated and controlled by forces on the outside...

but, maybe, some within that particular corporate structure are ok with that, right?

Just goes to show you that no matter how good a company tries to make things for its' employees, you still can't please everyone. Some people live to complain and they just aren't happy unless or until they find something to whine about. Gotta love a guy who blames his employer for his own admitted lack of self control. Time to man up and take responsibility for your own actions there, Skippy.
